There is a pub and take away just a short stroll and Lowestoft with its sandy beaches, restaurants, amusements and shops is a short drive. The children will love Africa Live at Kessingland with 100s of animals to see it also has a Sunday car boot sale. A bit further afield is the traditional seaside town of Southwold with the famous Adnams brewery where you can take a tour and have tastings, an array of independent shops and restaurants and not forgetting the traditional pier and colourful beach huts, there is also a foot ferry over to Walberswick which is famous for the world crabbing championships. Fancy a day on a boat? then pop along to the Norfolk Broads and take out a boat or go on a kayaking tour through tranquil lakes, bird spotting safaris or a sunset paddle board.
