St Nicholas Church, Lower Oddington
Oddington Church St Nicholas's church at Oddington is situated a distance from Lower Oddington. The church dates back to the 12th century, the tower dates from the 13th century. Originally the church belonged to St Peter's Abbey at Gloucester, but in 1157 the church was transferred to the See of York and in the 13th century Oddington was the residence of the Archbishop of York.
Between the Oddingtons Upper and Lower Oddington are still two separate villages with this house crossing the divide. South of the villages runs a footpath linking the two, through horse paddocks.
