"Arriving around midnight after a long drive I was initially thankful there was someone there to open the door. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. My expectations were pretty low, all I wanted was a hot drink, a wash and a comfortable bed. Unfortunately there were no drink-making facilities, no towels, no pillows on the bed and only a dirty bar of soap with a previous guests whiskers stuck into it. I tried to use the room phone to contact reception but there were no instructions on how to...

"What an amazing find! The perfect place for us as a family to unwind after a busy day of sight seeing. The perfect base surrounded by nature and animals, all of us loved it. "Comfortable bed, friendly greetings on arrival, clean kitchen area and lots to offer for breakfast. Fridge in the room which is quiet unlike some places! Hairdryer, kettle and provisions in the room, plenty of plugs, touch bedside lamps, big TV screen, mirror, table and chairs sitting area by the window. Separate Shower rooms compact but very clean."

"The houseplants in the conservatory hadn't seen water in weeks! Food was mediocre. I was in an accessible room. The facilities were not accessible. eg there was a bath not a wetroom. Handles in the bathroom were not lever handles. Towels had been left 5 feet up!"

"Great place - rooms are great, comfy bed, welcome green and blacks chocolate. Staff are lovely at check in and the breakfast staff are fantastic, work hard and fast - really impressed. Only thing I don't like is the 'write on paper' check in part - especially every time you come back, would be nice to be digitally stored but in the greater scheme of things its nothing."

"This is a place for when you want to toyally switch off, relax and gave a great nights sleep. Having no TV on the room, meant we went to bed early, heard no a sound all night and came away fully refreshed after one night. There are a couple of nice pubs and restaurants in walking distance and the Thai Orchid is fab."

Smelly bathroom, noisy fridge, very light in room at night due to fire exit light in room ...hard pillows. Also very glad breakfast wasn't included based on what we saw. Overpriced for what it is. "
