"Staff very nice and helpful. Lovely front lounge. Simple things could have made a difference. Rooms were nice but weren’t fully clean. Lamps were dusty, corners of bathroom floor had dirt from previous clients. Dirty handprint marks on toilet doors. Only 2 towels left out for a triple room and one toilet roll. Restaurant was empty and looked more like a bright school canteen. Not inviting. Warmer lights and maybe room dividers may have made it more cosy. Sports bar was closed when we were there. Felt like it had been a great spot but now feels a bit tired. Great potential to improve by simple changes."
"The staffs are much friendly and helpful at the reception. It is ease of access to the client parking lot just in front of the main entrance of the hotel. We enjoyed delicious foods and drinks in the dinner and morning breakfast in the dining area during our short trip to Oxford."
"Hotel is excellent in anytime location and clean and well presented. The room was well appointed and difficult to fault. However the bar was disappointing with limited choice of draft beers (only two lagers) and no atmosphere. The breakfast was extremely poor and prompted us to cancel our evening meal due to the quality of cooking. Bacon like leather, mushroom shrivelled and dry, poached eggs hard each day and waited too long for the breakfast. Improve the food and we would return as the hotel is lovely."
"Overall it was good - friendly staff, a little pool and gym, and it was indeed clean. I was a bit disappointed to find the bathroom had white gaffer tape covering extensive rust on the edge of the bath though. I did expect that to be better, its not nice to have gaffer tape and rust in the bath. But the beds were very comfy, the rooms well cleaned. just a tired bathroom. We walked into Oxford down the canal which was lovely."
