"Hotel is in a great location - just over 15 minute walk to the train station, close to shops and the Cathedral - looks like the downstairs has been elegantly renovated. Beautiful newly-refurbished bedroom, with some really thoughtful extra touches - such as a rubber bathmat and handrail, electric fan, suitcase stand, and biscuits every day with the tea and coffee. "A very welcoming hotel. Plenty of. Character. Very kind and helpful staff. Very clean. Room spacious. Good breakfast could benefit from more gluten free options. Got a couple of free drinks at the bar instead of having room service. Spacious and very appealing grounds leading to the canal path with a very pleasant walk. Would gladly stay again."
