"Very nice hotel, friendly staff, easy check-in, lots of parking. Had no issues with noise. Nice bed, plenty of pillows, big TV, everything you'd expect from a hotel stay. Breakfast buffet included and was good. Would definitely stay again."

"Lovely big room and excellent value for money. We have paid twice as much for half as nice in other places. Very pleasant staff and everything is very clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed. My husband enjoyed the large 20m swimming pool. We had a great stay and would be happy to return"

"I have stayed here frequently over the years but they now need to spend some money on refurbishing the coffee machine in reception ring out of order for four days was symbolic of a lack of care I’m afraid"

"It is a great place to stay"

"Nice clean room and staff were fantastic and very helpful"

"The car park is quite far from reception and all the signs don’t really make sense. Check in was handing me a key after having to call a mobile number that had been left on the desk. No further information like how to get to the room and breakfast. Room was really far away and I had to carry lots of personal items and was a struggle. "Great hotel. Lovely room, nice breakfast and evening meal. Good location, right next to the town"

"Needs better bar, receptionist could serve drinks but not ideal. Breakfast finishes at 9am which is too early."

"Upon arrival"

"Ideal location with free parking. Room only- no food or drink offering but ideal if you just need a base. Plenty of places close by for food and drink. Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room with biscuits. Clean and comfortable overlooking the cricket pitch."

"We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to...

"This is a delightful place. The staff is wonderful. The building is charming"

"Location"

"Large and grandiose Victorian hotel located close to town centre. Easy (though expensive) parking. Quick check-in. Nice large room except bathroom poorly laid out. Only two small lifts seemed inadequate for size of hotel. Very large and very grand common facilities including bar and restaurant. Nice breakfast."
