Had an excellent couple of days here just sitting on porch and relaxing! Highly recommend to all..Close to Grayson National park and nice walking park in Lansing!
Super cute cabin with an awesome front porch view of the mountains. Very quiet and relaxing. The driveway was a bit steep but still accessible. No problems. Recommended for sure

Phoenix rising review
The cabin was private, clean and nicely furnished. It had a well equipped kitchen, lots of clean towels and hot water. The WiFi was surprisingly good. The porches and yard could have used more attention. And there were huge black ants in the living room. But overall the cabin was nice. But be warned...The driveway is not for the faint of heart!!!t. It is narrow, very steep and has one helluva switchback. Be sure to drive a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
We had a great time in this very secluded cute cabin. It had all the amenities we needed and was conveniently located close to Lansing and Grayson Highlands State park.

Reviewer Comments:
My family loved this house and it's location. Yes the driveway was steep but just don't stop and you will be okay. The house was clean and well laid out for our family. We played tons of cornhole and got quite competitive. The yard was in much need of being mowed but I will say we booked the week of our stay so it was understandable. We ate at Shatley Springs, Pie on the Mountain and the Mountain restaurant in Lansing and would for sure go back to each of them! I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others!
Some people love a steep driveway with a switchback... the older I'm getting, the more I'm not a fan. This driveway gave me anxiety in our 2022 minivan. Maybe in another vehicle, I would have no reservations. The cabin itself is adorable. It is a peaceful getaway, with everything you might need. It is a very short drive (maybe 5 min) to little Lansing, where there are some fun, relaxing things to do, along with a corner store to get essentials, including a nice meat selection. Not sure I would stay here again due to driveway, unless we take a different vehicle with AWD and better clearance. If you have that: DEFINITELY book this property!!

The view was amazing (A+)but talking from a seniors needs it was a difficult place to stay. Stairs to the loft were steep. I went up once and had to have my daughter help.me down. The driveway was super steep and for me I couldn't see the road over the windshield while going up the incline. We went no where after dark
The place could use a refresh such a as new towels and bed linens.
I found quite a few spiders and black ants.
I am sure for a young family this would be ideal. I personally wouldn't stay there again
Our intention was quiet and peaceful time resting in the mountains. This cabin location was NOT a good fit. It sits just above a busy highway and the road noise intruded day and night. Add the barking dog next door and it was neither a quiet nor peaceful experience. We couldn’t carry on a conversation on the deck without raising our voices and even in bed we could hear the passing vehicles (not at a distance, they were pretty close).
On the good side, the cabin allowed our dog, was easy to find, and had a fireplace with wood provided. It was very close to the Creeper Park in Lansing which had lovely open space along the river and a nice nature trail on the other side of the river. The management team was very professional and responsive but obviously weren’t able to remove/reduce the noise of the traffic or dog. They did what they could (provided updated wifi password, sent housekeeping out to tend some overlooked details) and we’re appreciative of their consideration.
The cabin itself is average. Yes, they provide most things you would need but most items were a bit tired and in need of an update. Don’t forget to bring your paper products and any other consumables, including trash bags. Be prepared to remove your own trash during and at the end of the visit too (they provide maps to the local collection sites).
Ultimately, we chose to forfeit the cost and found ourselves other accommodations that provided a quiet and restful mountain vacation. Expensive lesson learned.
This property was just as advertised. It was very clean and a great location. The management company answered our question promptly. We will definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed the stay and had everything we needed. The only issue was the driveway was very dangerous. My father in law tore a step rail off of his truck on the way out.

The cabin was awesome. It was quite comfortable and relaxing. The only issue was the shower was a bit small and little water pressure. Other than that, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely stay there again.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The property was very clean and the instructions for check in/check out were clear. There were a few details in the listing/instructions that I overlooked: need to bring own paper products (including toilet paper and paper towels - there was a partial roll of each left over, but we definitely had to go on a restock mission), the driveway is insanely steep (we managed well in an AWD SUV and dry conditions), home is heated with a large space heater-type unit in the living room of the cabin (which is very effective, but does make the upstairs loft room much much warmer than the downstairs bedrooms).
This should serve as a reminder to read the instructions/listing clearly before arrival and come prepared, but NOT deter you from staying here. It is a great cabin and a great location to several rivers to fish on.
We had a very relaxing enjoyable stay. The cottage was very clean but could have used newer bath towels. If it snows, which it did, you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the driveway and a shovel. The walkway and driveway were not plowed or shoveled

Beautiful, but....
We had all sorts of problems with the cabin. TV didn't work, no instructions on how to work wood stove, coffee maker broke, but mgr did bring another small coffee pot. All in all, beautiful place, but bad experience. Called the law twice because we suspected someone outside the cabin. The last night we were there, we built a fire, woke up the next morning, and the glass in the wood stove was shattered.
It was a great vacation getaway for the family. I would give the experience 5 stars but the cabin definitely needs new towels and pillows. The driveway is also a bit of a challenge, very steep. That being said, the cabin was clean and well supplied with wonderful heat and quiet, beautiful surroundings.
