"The entrance to the office is too narrow and my car got damaged. The hotel staff was not apologetic or supportive and told me “it’s my problem” The hotel otherwise was okay but the staff needs to put a sign warning customer’s about to that and show better customer service skills"

"No dishwasher. I missed that in the description. Beautiful place. Can hear planes quite a bit. Clean. Well stocked. Just needs a few more mugs and glasses. Nicely decorated. The sofa couches are pretty uncomfortable. The kids elements are fun. Back yard is huge. Great for dogs. Back deck is glorious. "

"Our party of four enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Haven. It looked just like it did in the pictures and was clean and ready when we arrived. The kitchen is fully stocked with all sorts of things, which made preparing food there so easy. The towels and pillows were of a nicer quality than you typically have at a vacation rental. The only things that would have made our stay nicer were knowing about the steep driveway (we had an elderly person in our party) and having someone respond to our request about how to turn on a fan (we sent multiple texts with no response). All in all it was a lovely stay."

"This was a great location only a short drive from Monterrey peninsula and historic Hwy 1 drive. Super clean with very detailed instructions. "

"Great guest home for exploring the Monterey Bay. Close to everything and very quiet, safe, and well furnished. The host was great to interact with and I would highly recommend."

"Overall, not bad but we got disappointed a few times and our concerns were not addressed (the reason for loosing one star). First, I communicated with the host before renting that I will need a travel crib and they ensured us that there is one. When we got there, there was one very dirty travel crib that I didn't risk putting my baby in. If you are renting and planning to use the crib, make sure they replace or properly clean it. Also, 2 hand towels were dirty (make up stain and obvious that they were not washed) so I'm not sure if the rest of the towels were washed or not. In addition, the trash bin was broken and did not open properly. I addressed all these the first day and they told me that the maintenance team will be there to address all these issues. No one showed up and I was too busy with my kids to follow up. The house was overall clean. The backyard was not clean and neat like in the pictures. There was overgrown grass and vegetation everywhere that made it very hard to walk. My babies played on the swing set a little bit which was fun. I got good communication from the host but as I said, none of my concerns where addressed. We were told to start a wash of the towels on our way out which we did, so the next person going in will definitely have fresh and clean towels. "
