"We had a wonderful stay at Fox River Retreat in St. Charles, IL. As VRBO owners ourselves, we truly appreciated how thoughtfully this home was prepared—every detail was considered. The house was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly welcoming.We traveled with our 8‑month‑old granddaughter, and it was such a relief to find a foldable high chair, pack‑and‑play, and several other baby‑friendly items already provided. It made our stay so much easier and more comfortable.Communication from the hosts was excellent from the moment we booked through checkout—friendly, prompt, and helpful every step of the way. The location is fantastic as well, close to everything in a great area.We would absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in town. Highly recommend this home and these wonderful hosts!"

"Nice location, close to great food and walking trails. There was a nice French Market on Sunday morning just down the street, with fresh fruits, baked goods, and crafts. The unit is clean and well maintained. If you’re taller watch your head going down the stairs to the unit. We would stay there again if in town."

"The cottage has a wonderful front porch and a large kitchen. It needs a few touches to make it truly memorable. The thermostat was locked with a code. The cottage needs bathroom tissue holders, towel bars, and coat racks or hooks. The hot and cold water are switched in the bathrooms. It could also use coat racks or hooks and somewhere to place clothes. The neighborhood was quiet, had sidewalks for walking, and was close to St. Charles and shopping. Overall a great place to experience St. Charles and the surrounding area."
