Great location but still was quiet at night. Super easy to get to all main locations in kyoto. The room was huge and plenty of room to open luggage. I liked how the toilet was separate from the shower.

Hotel Forza Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi
Absolutely wonderful position, friendly efficient staff, good beds, daily free sake and coffee. Not so good points; (1) our "superior" double room had the bed jammed up against one wall so that one spouse had to walk on the bed to get in or out - we've stayed here before and don't recall the rooms ...
