"The carpet in our room 105 was heavily stained. Breakfast wasn't great. And bar prices varied for the same drinks."

"A lovely old house kept in great condition. Our room was warm and comfortable and spotlessly clean. A great breakfast set us up for the day. The proprietors were friendly and helpful."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was very good."

"A very stylish restaurant with rooms with a nice little bar to boot. We enjoyed our one night stay in one of the smaller rooms. The bed was fabulous. Quality linen and such a comfortable mattress. In fact everything was top quality and the room had all you could need, including a nip of whiskey each if you like it. "When it’s chilly it’s worth turning the radiator on prior to guests arriving."

"The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The restaurant was excellent.. but you need to make reservations as soon as you check in. The staff was very helpful and friendly."

"Really friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Good atmosphere. Large old building, our room was recently updated and was modernised nicely and spotlessly clean. It was very big but still warm with very large comfy bed and powerful shower. TV & Kettle in the room with normal sachets of tea/coffee etc Good breakfast offering kept warm and you could ask for GF bread, cereal and freshly made scrambled eggs. Nice coffee too. I liked the fact there seemed to be little waste as the offering wasn’t too...
