This was one of the finest places I have ever stayed. Loved everything about it from the great sauna and swimming pool to the fantastic food at the bistro and the wonderful staff highest rating I could give a place. wish I had booked a longer stay there it was so fantastic. Beautiful countryside hotel with good activity facilities. My suite was very spacious, food in the bistro good. American and Asian visitors may find the plumbing and bathrooms a little traditional, but all clean and functional.

No separate area like a lounge ,and no access to a castle interior..you are limited to. a building with a small restaurant and an outside building to a pool, games for children area . Rooms enter from outside like a modern motel room. People / staff are very nice but unless attending an event like a wedding etc ...not a destination spot.

Lovely old building converted into hotel accommodation with generous sized rooms and nice big comfy bed. Bistro bar was excellent with good food and reasonable prices for food and drinks. Staff were friendly too. Green areas around the estate are well looked after and add to the tranquillity and ambience of the facility. Didn’t use the leisure facilities but good to kmow they are there for future planning.

We turned into the drive and as we approached the castle it was a real wow moment. The disappointment was that check In for our room was at the leisure centre desk, I so wanted to walk up the steps of the castle and take in the atmosphere. Saying that the staff were all very very friendly, courteous and loved petting our dog. The food in The Bistro was amazing, we arrived on steak night and it was cooked to perfection. The grounds were very peaceful to walk around, very well maintained. We will definitely come back and book a castle room
