When assigned a room, I asked if we could change to a higher floor even if it would be at a higher rate. She abruptly told me the hotel was full, which we could tell it wasn't, and even confirmed that after checking with another attendant later that evening. We would have changed rooms then, but my family didn't want to deal with the hassle since...

"I would give Carson Inn 3 stars. Overall, the hotel wasn’t anything to write home about, but it did what we needed it to do. The room itself was clean and appeared to be well maintained. My biggest issue was that I accidentally booked a smoking room through Expedia. I completely take responsibility for not catching it during the booking process, which is why I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1.
