The Space:

At Noetic House, the desert is part of every room. Expansive glass doors frame miles of open landscape, filling the interiors with natural light and bringing the distant mountains into view. Clean architectural lines, warm wood furnishings, soft linens, and earthy textures create a space that feels considered without being formal. Named for the Greek concept of noēsis, or inner wisdom, the home encourages a quieter kind of getaway, where you can spend the afternoon reading, practicing yoga, or simply watching the light change across the valley.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The outdoor spaces are where Noetic House feels especially connected to its surroundings. Beyond the patio, five acres of open desert stretch toward a broad mountain horizon, creating a beautiful setting for spending an entire afternoon without going anywhere.



Two Adirondack chairs face the mountains beside a gas fire pit, an inviting spot to settle in as the last sunlight reaches across the valley. Nearby, the four-person hot tub offers a warm soak beneath the expansive desert sky, while the six-foot cowboy tub provides a refreshing place to cool off during the warmer months. An outdoor shower adds another opportunity to enjoy the fresh air.



A gas BBQ and outdoor dining area make it easy to prepare a relaxed dinner at home. With little between the house and the surrounding landscape, even a simple meal outside feels like part of the Joshua Tree experience. As evening arrives, the open sky and distant mountains take center stage.



The cowboy tub is unavailable November through March.



-Living Area-

Inside, the living room is an inviting contrast to the rugged landscape beyond the windows. A deep charcoal sectional, natural wood tables, woven accents, and soft textiles add warmth to the home's minimalist architecture.



Sliding glass doors open directly toward the patio, with desert views visible from the sofa. Settle in with a book, listen to music on the Bluetooth speaker, or spread out the provided yoga mats and blocks for a quiet morning practice. Thoughtfully chosen books, board games, and small decorative details give the room personality without distracting from its greatest feature: the landscape just outside.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The kitchen brings a more refined touch to everyday rituals, with a substantial stone waterfall island, warm cabinetry, modern appliances, and understated pendant lighting. It is well equipped for preparing meals at home, with cookware, utensils, spices, cooking oils, and other kitchen essentials provided.



Coffee lovers have three ways to start the morning: a Nespresso machine, drip coffee maker, or French press, with coffee, tea, and creamers stocked for your stay.



Pull up a stool at the island, share a meal at the dining table for two, or carry dinner outside when the evening weather is inviting. The open layout keeps the kitchen connected to the living space and surrounding views, making even a leisurely breakfast feel like time well spent.



-Bedroom & Bathroom-

The single bedroom is designed as a restful retreat, with a king-size bed dressed in Quince bedding, a natural wood headboard, warm desert-colored accents, and large sliding glass doors overlooking the landscape. Wake to soft morning light and views of the mountains, or step directly outside to enjoy the fresh air before beginning your day.



A ceiling fan adds comfort, while a smart TV allows for relaxed movie nights in bed. A small wooden desk offers a dedicated spot for writing, journaling, or catching up on work. Books about desert nature, stargazing, and mindfulness complement the home's reflective atmosphere.



The adjoining bathroom carries through the clean, natural aesthetic with a stone vanity, warm wood cabinetry, black fixtures, and a spacious tiled walk-in shower. For a different experience, the outdoor shower lets you rinse off surrounded by the desert air.



With one bedroom, one bathroom, and accommodations for two guests, Noetic House is especially well suited to couples seeking uninterrupted time together or solo travelers looking for a comfortable place to recharge.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.



Please note that a closet between the kitchen and bathroom and one cupboard are locked and house supplies for the rental.



The Neighborhood:

Noetic House is in North Joshua Tree, about 14 minutes from downtown. All homes in this area are on acreage, giving guests wide open space and privacy.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Noetic House is in a remote location, but the road is paved the entire way to the driveway.



Other Things to Note:

-Cowboy Tub-

The pool at Noetic House is a 6-foot cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool. The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during the winter months (November through March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The cowboy tub and hot tub are serviced Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

Pets are not permitted at this property. Unauthorized pets will result in a $500 fee.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there are exterior cameras by the front door, in the carport and on the front corner of the house, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas of the home or outdoor space.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
