"I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to drop one here because some of the negative ratings made me second-guess booking but I’m so glad I went ahead with it anyway.
- THE GOOD -
The location right between Ipanema and Copacabana is perfect and there is a strong police presence nearby so I felt very safe walking around. The building and room are sleek and modern; I stayed in the Superior Studio, which was plenty of space for just me. When I reported a smell in the fridge, the Charlie team sent housekeeping to take care of it the next day, which I really appreciated. The front desk staff in the building were also super sweet and helpful. Honestly, the ultimate highlight for me were the amenities - having a pool, jacuzzi, gym, and sauna all on-site is pretty hard to find in this area.
-THE CHALLENGES-
The common complaints in other reviews are mostly fair. Check-in can be a process, but I started the verification three days early to avoid any hassle. Communication with the host team is strictly via WhatsApp, which has its quirks, but I knew what to expect going in. The walls are also a bit thin, so bringing earplugs for sleeping is definitely a good idea.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely book here again."
