Rooms were comfortable, pretty and had everything we needed. We had lots of options for breakfast and it was delicious. The hosts are welcoming and the village is so pretty. We loved our stay here.
Lovely find on North Norfolk Coast, great walking / running routes and pub was brilliant with great hosts Chris and Bev. Food is varied and room was everything we needed!
A very friendly welcome, a beautiful room, a comfortable bed, a stunning and peaceful location, easy car parking. The breakfast was delicious. Will recommend and return
We stayed for one day midweek.Check-in was easy,we were shown to our room.
Comfortable bed in a quiet room.
Bad bits - bathroom not terribly clean,no BBC on tv.,only ITV and Channel 4.No one visible for checkout.
Food good and served quickly.Breakfast very good.General lack of care and enthusiasm about their customers.
Pub good. Staff good. Food good. No lemon or lime available for G&T but 'beer good' too.
Room was not good. It has clearly been very nice but it isn't any more.
The facilities are OK, but the room and the shower room both now really need a good 'deep clean' to reach acceptable standards.
The visitors book shows comments from 2023 and 2024 that have not been addressed - 'noisy fan in bathroom' is still noisy, 'chipped paint doesn't look nice neither does bathroom damp on walls', there's problem with supply of towels (no bath towel available when we visited), 'lots of cobwebs' (28/08/2024), and 'could do with more staff'.
Just two young men ran the business during our stay - one did all the cooking, the other did all front-of-house' jobs. They are both friendly and very hard-working.
If you decide to stay please note that rooms are only serviced on request (place a hanger in window to alert staff).
I would certainly eat and drink here, but I wouldn't stay again.
The landlady and landlord were lovely and could not have been more accommodating for us and our dog. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The selection at breakfast was also really good. I thought the price was exceptionally good value and I would definitely stay again when I come back to the area.
All ok apart from breakfast. delivered with 2 grilled tomatoes despite having been cancelled also menu advertised bacon and 2 eggs i received 1 egg and no bacon
Owned and run by two brothers, who obviously take pride in their achievement. The food was good, though a little pretentious, and apart from waiting a while to be served, then discovering we should order at the bar, quite tasty.
We reported that the water heater in our room was not working properly on the day we arrived. It was not fixed by the time we left.
Poor breakfast service on the last day.coffee made in a cafeteria but appeared to be instant .Very weak clear liquid when pored.Sent back but told that’s all the coffee they had. Poor service due to only one staff member working and cooking .Abrupt when we asked for orange juice and it never appeared.

It was good value, for the room .but there are quite a few ironing out issues, they are a new business so they may sort themselves out . Nobody seems to know what is going on. When we arrived,we were told to sit outside and a menu would be bought over. Which was immediately forgotten,so I went to the bar ,by which time I had to wait behind other customers to ask for the menu. Food reasonably priced, but not good.
The strangest thing, was ,we needed to get away early, and went into breakfast when they opened,so when it came to settling the bill,we were told the manager would not be there till 9.30,so we duly came back then, and the poor chap behind the bar (not the manager)at that time couldn’t seem to be able to process the payment .So he advised calling in by telephone,so we even called in on our way back home that day so we could pay. Really strange, and I would have thought concerning for them as a business.
Friendly greeting. Great home cooked food. Cosy , comfortable accommodation. Great location. Easy parking. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay , shame it was only for one night. Highly recommended!!
