Wonderful location only a few yards from the sea. Stunning views from three of the bedrooms and the living room. A beautiful holiday home in a beautiful location in a quiet village but with all the amenities you need for a great holiday.
What a lovely place to stay, with everything as described, and more. So many things available for us to use as all those little extras. The views are fantastic and my early cuppa every morning was spent in the garden on the bench, listening to the sea and the birds. The place is very warm and very clean. It was perfect for me as no pets were allowed and suffering from allergies I did not have to be worried by that. Our favourite place was The Loft for coffee etc just around the corner from the house. We loved everything about our accommodation and looking forward to going there again. We would very much recommend it. P.s lovely welcome pack but would benefit from some milk and water too.
Large, beautiful property in a slightly elevated position so that the views from front and back are stunning but my wife's mobility scooter could manage the short slope. The property is so comfortable and spacious and is fully kitted out with everything a large family would need. No pets allowed, which is great for those of us with allergies to them. All in all, a superb holiday home.

A Jewel by the Sea
Our stay in the charming town of Coverack at the lovely home, Porthvean, was fabulous. The location was perfect and the scenic ocean views peaceful. My husband and I flew to the UK from Chicago and travelled to Cornwall with my twin sister and her husband who live in East Sussex. We went to Coverack to celebrate our 60th birthday. It was the perfect place and perfect house for this special occasion. The home was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. We loved the comfy beds and their plush, soft duvets and pillows. The showers were strong and had excellent temperature control. The town had great shops, restaurants and pub as well as coastal walks. Try the Cornish pasties or pastries at Elisabeth's. Stop by at the Paris Pub for a pint and tasty meal or splurge for a fancy dinner at The Bay Hotel. (where we celebrated our birthday) Don't forget to have ice cream at Roskilly's. The Village Shop was convenient as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

Ein sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage mit herrlichem Meerblick aus fast allen Zimmern. Sehr sauber, alles vorhanden was man braucht. Nette und hilfreiche Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin. Wir ( 6 Erw. und 2 Kinder) haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
We had the most enjoyable week staying in this wonderful house. Excellent sea views from almost every window. Superbly furnished and equipped we wanted for nothing. It was more than a ‘home from home’. We enjoyed the welcome pack of scones, jam and cream very much. The position of the house within Coverack is great and very convenient with only a short walk to the harbour, shop, fish & chips and local pub. The off road car parking for two cars across from the house was very convenient. We highly recommend this as a place to stay - you won’t be disappointed.
The house is a perfect retreat to get away from it all but so close to amenities, small shops and places to eat.
The house is comfortable with everything you need.
It would have been useful to have a shed to put our dirty walking boots in.
We hope to return soon.
We really enjoyed our autumn break! The house is on a very quiet road, steps away from the South West Coast Path. Sea views are extensive in various directions, the Morse Oven works really well, although it is not necessary to use it, as the central heating is very good. Kitchen is well kitted out, I imagine even with a full house, you would be very comfortable.
We had a delightful stay at Porthvean - what a lovely house and beautiful part of the country! Those views are just stunning! Coverack is a delightful little place. Local establishments (restaurant, cafe, shop etc.) are taking social distancing very seriously, it was all very well-managed, which was very comforting to see. The house is literally right on the southwest coast path, so it was perfect for walking along the coast. Porthbeer Cove was a particular favourite for a relatively short, stunning walk. Porthvean is also very well placed for a number of must-do’s on the Lizard peninsula. The kitchen was very well equipped - bonus points for having a decent set of knives! We are very much looking forward to visiting again next year !
Because of Coronavirus we weren't sure we would be able to come but the Lockdown came to an end just as our holiday was due. So it was a welcome relief for all of us to just be able to have a change of scenery. Two of our party had to work some of the time but they loved being able to look out at the great view from the house; a view of sun, sea, rocks and container ships. The rest of us went to the beach, visited Falmouth and St Ives and walked some of the many walks accessible from the house. Our favourite places were Kynance Cove, St Just and Godrevy.
The house was perfect for all of us, 6 adults, a 4 year old and an under 2 year old. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and there was plenty of room. There are stair gates, a cot and High Chair. There's even a wine fridge which we stuffed.
Because of Covid 19 eating out was difficult but we could get local fish and chips (and a vegan option) and have a drink outside the pub. We brought most of our food with us and topped up at the local, very well stocked store. We also brought with us a BBQ, but if you do that, watch out for the local thieving cat!
The play area opposite us was opened on the Monday and after polishing the slide so it was slippy, the kids made full use of it.
Coverack is beautiful and very peaceful and we will definitely return. We enjoyed every minute and were sad to leave. You do have to remember though that life is not as it was. Some Cornish residents were wary of us incomers, you can't just eat where and when you want or get what you want so you have to come prepared. And wherever you go, if it involves paying (such as the Seal Sanctuary or St Michaels Mount) you have to pre-book a slot. And there were signs everywhere asking you not to litter but people were very prepared and good about social distancing and keeping everything clean. That was very reassuring.
'Porthvean' is a truly wonderful holiday house. Coverack is a charming, authentic Cornish village and the house is slap bang in the heart of it. The layout of the house is perfect for a shared holiday experience, being open plan on the ground floor, with a comfy, appealing, classy feel. Three of the four bedrooms have sea views, with the two at the front of the house feeling particularly special. Everything about the property was just as you would hope for. We cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning. Thank you, Sarah, and for all your helpful assistance too.
Light, spacious, wonderful views and very comfortable. In a lovely village too. Great for a multi-generational family group with space for all. Couldn't ask for more
Lovely property , perfect location....
our only down point is there was no front gate and the children couldn’t run around due to the road. The house is self was a joy to be in with the open plan living. the village and community spirit is wonderful... we are all very sad to leave this beautiful place
This property is undoubtedly the best that we have had the pleasure to experience. Every aspect was first class from booking in, communication with the owner, presentation, location and content. The owners have excelled to ensure that this property exceeds expectations, down to the finest detail . We stayed for a week - two couples and our daughter - and everyone felt totally relaxed in the surroundings of this superb home. I hope that the opportunity arises for us to return from Australia and once again be part of the wonderful culture offered by the people and beauty of Coverack. The locals also stopped for a chat and made us feel very welcome. Our sincere thanks to Sarah for allowing us to be part of this outstanding location.

Fabulous Top Class Accommodation in an idyllic location
The house is just superb and very spacious; it has everything that you need (and more) for a holiday let. The owners have thought of everything and all fittings are of a high spec. The beds are so comfy and the showers very powerful. The outside shower is a great idea. The instructions provided are most helpful and there is so much to see and do in the local area.
The views from the house are just amazing and a few mins walk to the harbour, beach, local shop (which is well stocked), excellent restaurant, fab café and also kayak and wet suit rental.
You will not be disappointed..........I cannot wait to return!
