"Schönes Wochenende im Harz mit Licht und Schatten Wir haben ein Wochenende in diesem Hotel direkt an der Bode verbracht. Das Haus überzeugt in vielen Punkten, hat aber auch Schwächen. Das Positive: Die Architektur wirkt wie ein kleines Schloss und fügt sich wunderbar in die Umgebung ein. Die Lage ist ruhig und traumhaft direkt an der Bode, die Umgebung ideal zum Wandern. "Fabulous place to stay if you want something different. Large clean bedrooms & great breakfast. There was a wedding on when we arrived but they allowed us to stay & eat as nowhere else around had availability. Lovely to have the church next door & grounds to walk around. Highly recommend. Shop nearby for spirits & liqueurs that are made in the local distillery."

"We stayed for one night. Unfortunately after a 6 hour drive we arrived to find no one at reception. Waited 5 minutes and someone arrived. The restaurant we were told would be closed ao we had to go driving around to find something to eat after driving all day. Everywhere close by was closed so we had to travel further out to find something. Alsp no tea or coffee in the room. So nothing to drink after travelling all day. Other than that the hotel was picturesque. Breakfast the next morning was...

"slightly quirky room and hotel layout. eg my room door opened into the room with a pillar imnediately behind it!. Food was excellent in the resteraunt, the hotel is set back from the village and it was lovely to be close to the woods and deer in the enclosure outside. Staff very helpfull."
