"Firstly, I arrived to find that I received a free upgrade - so the stay got off to an excellent start. I always appreciate being accommodated on the top level of the lodge, due to my erratic sleep pattern. All the usual things were top notch: great facilities, clean room, plenty of space, nice bathroom, relatively quiet location, handy parking, and welcoming front-office staff. I'll be back to stay in February (I'm a regular visitor)."

The building seems safe as it is locked at night and requires key access. It is a great place to launch off into Raglan or the Waitomo glowworm caves. This hotel is exceptionally clean and provides a great value for the price. The staff is super friendly when you check in and very kind. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your hotel."
