The Rockport House

"Wow. We were not expecting such an incredible experience at what I thought was going to just be a room in a weird house. Absolutely stunning, ultra modern, perfectly located property that is unlike any other I’ve ever visited. The beds were made of pure heaven & the pillows were divine. We were in cottage number 3, on the first level. Double shower heads, the biggest shower I’ve ever stepped into & remote controlled air conditioning that got ice cold. A mini fridge, free water, a Keurig, cups, creamers, nothing was missed. Bearskin Neck is a short walk down a couple blocks of dreamy houses with flower filled yards & cute lanterns hanging from the trees. Everything about Rockport is idyllic. No vehicles allowed where all of the shops & restaurants are located. The little harbor is like a storybook, a short jetty for pictures & many little souvenir shops with kind & helpful locals. Never seen any town quite like Rockport & staying at The Rockport House just made it more magical. Never been so enamored of a town in all of America. If you’re up in the air about this place, just book it, you won’t find anything quite like it anywhere that I’ve seen & you won’t believe it until you’re there. Can’t wait to return & add a day or two to explore nearby Gloucester & visit their beaches."

"This house is lovingly cared for by the owners. It is located in a quiet quaint neighborhood that is wonderful to walk around. You can take one of many public access walking paths down to the water. The location is perfect to get to downtown Rockport or Bearskin Neck for shopping or great restaurants. Gloucester is a short drive as is Good Harbor Beach.The house has a wonderful open floor plan with lovely balconies on the main level and the bedroom level. It is well stocked with kitchen items and this year new bedroom furniture and ceiling fan. The main level deck is heaven. There are 2 bathrooms, the lower level has a tub and the upper level one has the most amazing shower ever and heated floor. The back yard is great for kids. This house is a gem which is why we have returned year after year."

"Check in and check out we’re very easy -able to be completed via phone. The hotel and room were beautiful and so clean. They had plenty of towels, make-up removal kits, and coffee supplies to share among 3 girls! Close walk into down-town area and across the street from the beach. Nice roof top area to enjoy sunsets!"

"Beautiful location and the view of the cove and ocean from the deck was amazing! It worked so well with our family of 10 with the three levels for sleeping. The fire pit was a hit !! The mattress in the main bedroom could use replacing , it was lumpy and uncomfortable. The slider to the deck is almost impossible to open! Overall it was a beautiful home and the large dining table held the entire family for a birthday celebration!!The deck had enough chairs to accommodate the entire family and the view and sunrise & sunset were spectacular!!"

"The grounds were beautiful and quiet, and my wife and I enjoyed being on the outskirts of Gloucester and Rockport--yet close enough to visit them (and that gorgeous state park!) by car, and even on foot. The apartment is cozy, with a nice view of the well-tended gardens and what appears to be a hand-carved desk and chair, which were ideal for writing, reading, and sipping coffee. A clean, well-functioning coffeemaker is provided, along amenities such as coffee filters and aluminum foil. The bathroom is narrow--as is the shower stall--but we managed adequately enough in the space provided. The host is affable, but gave us plenty of privacy. He also responded promptly to questions and requests. I recommend this place highly. We hope to return soon."
