"The first disappointment was how close by the road was.It makes sense for an old hotel, but I found the constant noise and traffic unpleasant and certainly for sitting on the verandah. Also no breakfast is served which is mentioned on website though it definitely was not happening. And lastly I found it tacky to demand a dollar each for drinks in the beverage area.If it costs that much they could incorporate it in the room charge. It just seems unwelcoming"

"Nice room"

"Our stay was excellent!"

"Clean up after your dogs! Don’t ruin traveling for the rest of us."

"It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. She even upgraded my room just because it was available. The room itself was beautiful! It felt like I was a guest in someones Adirondack mountain home. "Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!"

"Upon registering was told " we don't have breakfast our vender closed". Lobby was dirty. Going upstairs to room on a Friday afternoon, m I d all over the stairs. Leaving Sunday morning mud still there. Entered room bed was made but two of the pillows were very wrinkled and smelled. Sheets looked clean and pressed. In all, don't stay here."

"This Hampton in is why I choose to stay in Hampton Inn's. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, it was clean and well kept. My one complaint was the breakfast bar did not have beacon or susage, really the only protein was the eggs."

"Nice, modern, clean and spacious room. Breakfast was fresh and fantastic- especially liked the waffles. The sheets were the only negative, a bit flimsy and stiff, less quality than the rest of the stay- need an upgrade!"

"Great location…clean and quiet"
