"Disabled traveller Ambulatory wheelchair user. It’s rare to find a hotel room this well designed for my needs, I’m ambulatory but I could have managed well as a full time wheelchair user. Kitchenette is well designed with everything needed easy to reach and use from chair height. There might be a minor stretch getting laundry from washer to dryer from chair height but it’s possible and controls are at bottom of dryer so it can be operated from chair height. Bed height was perfect from me, it would be about 3” above chair height. The room has plenty of space to manoeuvre. It’s also worth noting just how helpful the hotel staff are, I was offered help with any rearrangements for personal taste/needs of movable furniture on check in. There’s also loads of storage space in the double wardrobe/drawers, making it the perfect place for longer trips. I don’t even know where to begin with the accessible bathroom, it’s absolutely perfect, spacious and easy to manoever round, plenty of grab rails, clearly designed with consultation with wheelchair users on how to best meet their needs. For anyone needing a raised toilet seat, chat with property, I don’t know if they have them available on site but there’s some excellent mobility aid hire places nearby, the one in East Ryde is particularly helpful. I was on 9th floor, in case of fire someone would have come to my room to offer assistance, whilst I’d have preferred to be on ground floor they did inspire confidence so I felt safe"

"We stayed for 4 nights. Prior to arrival we were provided with an access code for a safe located outside the front door to the premises. We arrived around 7 pm (it was dark) and, unfortunately, there was no key in the safe. There was a sign outside the front door providing a mobile number to ring in case of emergency, but there was no response when I both rang and messaged the number. After about 30 minutes the proprietor came out from inside the premises with a key and let us in. She explained that the previous guest had been injured in a car accident and had not been able to vacate the room until 5.00 pm, meaning that the room had not been ready due to the need to clean it. No issues with this explantation, but we were annoyed that there had been no such advice in the safe, a message had not been sent to us via Expedia and, most significantly, there was no response from the emergency number. In relation to the property itself, it was comfortable enough. We had a private bathroom which was quite small. There is a kitchen, but you are not allowed to cook in it - but can heat food in a microwave and there is a fridge in both the kitchen and your room. This option is better suited for people with a car, as the walk from Macquarie Park metro is about 15-20 minutes which would be challenging if you had large luggage or walking difficulties, That said, there is a laneway leading to Epping Road nearby where there is a bus stop. Overall a satisfactory stay."
