"Booked El Khalil pyramids hotel, turned up, a man said sorry we dont have your booking, you will need to pay again. Interesting, as i had already paid. I check all the details and pictures, same hotel. The guy says we dont have online bookings or listings, you need to book direct only, this listing isnt his. So i call his bluff, phone the number listed under the booking details, his phone rang... rigjt there infront of me. We had some back and forth, but in the end he was just saying the price...

"An unforgettable stay with exceptional Egyptian hospitality! From the moment I walked through the door at New Pyramid Museum Guest House, I felt instantly safe, comfortable, and warmly welcomed. Navigating Egypt for the first time with zero prior experience could have been overwhelming, but the team here made the entire journey seamless. They don’t just run a guest house, they truly treat you like family. Everyone was incredibly kind, hospitable, and accommodating. They went above and beyond at every turn, whether offering fantastic local recommendations, ensuring I got into the right Ubers safely, or helping me navigate a totally new and very large city with confidence. It honestly felt like having personal friends looking out for me to make sure my trip was as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. A very special thank you to Aly - what an incredible human being! He is somehow everywhere all at once, ensuring each guest receives the exceptional care they deserve. His warmth, dedication, and genuine hospitality made my stay top-notch, and the company is extraordinarily lucky to have him on their team. If you are traveling to Egypt—especially as a first-timer—do yourself a favor and stay here. I cannot recommend New Pyramid Museum Guest House enough!"

"Rooms were good for the price paid, checking was quick, very nice & helpful people. Only drawback was Expedia on website states free transportation to & from airport but the hotel provides only one way free and charges $25 for return which actually covers the cost of both ways, so it’s not free. But besides this everything is good about this hotel. It’s right across from pyramids so the view is top good. Hospitality is superb."

"The view of the pyramids from the rooftop restaurant was amazing. The staff at the desk and at breakfast also amazing. I had a pyramid view room but I would not get that again. It faced the road and the noise all night out front kept me awake. People were outside yelling and 2 nights in a row there were fights. Not the hotel owners fault but if you want a good night sleep get a room in the back. I would recommend just staying one night for the view up at the restaurant."

"Pros: 1. Staff helpful and kind 2. Hotel accommodating with late check-in and out due to flight delays 3. All meals were delicious 4.Enjoyed the balcony suite with pyramid views Cons: 1.Some items on menu were not available 2. The tub is a beautiful addition to have in the suite, but the water only gets lukewarm, not hot at all like the shower in the bathroom. After an all day safari, I wanted to soak my muscles, but could not take a bath as the water would be cold, by the time it would be filled."

"This hotel is very old and very dirty. It is also unsafe and dangerous. The hotel uses smart locks for all its rooms, and the codes are all the same. The code is simply your room number plus 35. Therefore, you can imagine how easy it is for anyone to enter the correct code and gain access to your room at any time. The hotel is also staffed by dishonest and immature individuals. On the fifth day, the power went out, providing an opportune moment for one of the staff members to enter my room and steal my slippers. After I left and threatened to involve the authorities, my slippers were miraculously “found” underneath the mattress. According to the staff, my slippers must have moved themselves from the front door, lifted the mattress, and placed themselves underneath it. Naturally, the security cameras were not working, so no one could identify who had actually entered my room. Therefore, the view is definitely not worth it. There is absolutely no security, and the staff cannot be trusted. The surrounding neighbourhood is also very noisy and dirty. There are scammers and beggars everywhere."

"Location is simply unbeatable, with the hotel entrance right in front of the ticket office for the Pyramids. The views are absolutely breathtaking, both from the terrace and from the rooms overlooking the Pyramids. Waking up to such a view is an experience in itself! The hotel is clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with particularly comfortable beds. However, what truly makes this place exceptional is its people. The hospitality and kindness of every single member of staff made our stay unforgettable. A special thank you to Iman and Salma at reception, Amira from housekeeping, Mohammed from the breakfast team, the Dr Shisha, and Mustafa, Ahmed and Ali from the restaurant team. Wish we had had enough time to get everyone's names because they all deserve recognition. They went above and beyond to make my mum’s birthday trip unforgettable. Their genuine care and attention made us feel so welcome that we really didn’t want to leave. I must also mention the lovely cats around the terrace! They added an extra touch of charm to an already magical experience. The funny thing is that we initially came to explore Egypt, but now, if we return to discover more of this beautiful country, we would happily come back just to stay at this hotel again! I have stayed in many hotels, but this one has genuinely stolen my heart. The views may bring you here, but the people will make you want to stay. Thank you for giving us memories we will cherish forever. ❤️"
