On a recent family trip to Japan, we stopped in Gifu to see the cormorant fishing (a fascinating and enjoyable experience), and had the good fortune to spend a night at the Juhachiro. It was a fantastic experience. The location was great -- an easy bus ride from the train station, right at the dock where the fishing and spectator boats leave from, in an area of town with a number of interesting traditional shops and restaurants. Our room was a large, extremely tastefully decorated Japanese...

Great hotel with a private sauna in every room. The beds are comfortable and there is a small refrigerator with a freezer in the room. We spent a long day of walking around Gifu Castle and Gifu park, so we enjoyed relaxing in the sauna after. And we went to the hotel's roof top space and looked at the stars. Also, there are 6 free parking spaces but they were full when we went, but directly across the street is a one day/„400 ($2.50) parking space. Very affordable and convenient.

Excellent boutique hotel.
It was beautiful inside and very intimate. The little cafe was cozy and had snacks all day long plus coffee and tea. There is a private onsen and little garden. I sadly missed the breakfast that they offered to us as i was so tired and comfy in the bed i had trouble getting up. The room was beautiful with great amenities and drinks for you. It was spotlessly cleaned. The manager was very friendly and quick to respond to messages. It is the type of place I personally...

This hotel set the new standard for my wife to travel to Japan now. It is sit right below Inuyama castle and the hot spring is just perfect after all day out. It's garden (free with room key) is relaxing and tea ceremony (600Yen) was great. The hotel is well designed and the breakfast set (5000 pp) is well worth it.
The staff is helpful for dinner reservation, taxi, or guide to local place. The hotel is 8 - 10 min walk to the Inuyama street where you can visit multiple shrines and walk to...

Love these properties. They all are the same so you know what you get. The beds are soooo comfy! There is good coffee, tea, and miso soup packet 24 hours a day. It was extremely clean. My only thing I didnt like is they lock the AC at 23 and it was so warm i couldnāt sleep. The next day they unlocked it for me and i slept perfectly. Staff was very polite. Wifi worked well, shower pressure was great. They also have breakfast set deals at a nearby restaurant , but i saw it too late to use it.

A solid hotel option in Gifu. Easy check in, hassle-free, good rooms. The carpet was a little stained, but everything else was otherwise great. Didn't pay for the breakfast buffet they offer (1,200 yen), so can't comment on that. Pretty good location in Gifu. The only stressful thing was parking. They have parking available in a parking garage next door for 1,000 yen/day and you can park there between like 14:00 - 10: 00, something like that. We weren't sure if you were allowed to come and go,...
