Top Fort Leonardo Hotel Reviews
Casa Birmula
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful small hotel in an ancient building with beautiful furnishings. Our room (Sliema) was large and well furnished and equipped with excellent drinks making facilities. The bathroom was large and had plentiful hot water but was down a couple of steep steps from the bedroom. At the top of the hotel is a lovely roof terrace with fabulous views and a small pool. The breakfast was decent, especially the freshly cooked eggs. The hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as it is up a few steps up from the road and has more steps inside. There is a lift but it did not work throughout our stay. The staff at the hotel are delightful. The location in Cospicua is excellent, close to the Valetta ferry and with many restaurants, cafes and bars in walking distance but feeling like a real Maltese town."
Amazing port and sea views from this modern, fully equipped 2 bedroom apartment
10/10 Excellent
"this apartment was clean, comfortable, and it had an amazing view as you can see from the pictures. location was great. some good restaurants in the area. the only strange thing was the coin operated electricity after certain kWh threshold you need to start putting euro coins into this device which we know about it but have never seen before, was quite funny but a bit petty"
The Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"We loved the whole experience. Lovely, clean room, Breakfast was delicious. Staff were fabulous. Great location. I would definitely recommend this place and will certainly come back. Thank you Dorian."
Stilla, 6, Triq San Lazzru
10/10 Excellent
"This is a superb property. Excellent communication from property manager. This is a beautifully modernized historic building. Access via alleyways with cobblestones and steps is a bit challenging with larger suitcases but you will be rewarded for your efforts. Close to a convenience store and even closer to the quick and cheap ferry to Valletta."
Palazzo Pisani Malta Boutique & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The location was excellent for us to explore Valletta and Birgu. The hotel was perfect for us, the pool and garden area were lovely."
BOCO Boutique
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely unique hotel. Staff were amazingly helpful. Our room was clean. Breakfast was excellent. The rooftop terrace was absolutely wonderful with an honesty bar so you can have a drink while you enjoy the view. Only thing to be aware of is the shower gel and teas and coffees in the room didn’t seem to be replenished every day."
A Luxury Retreat with Games Room, Spa, and Pool!
8/10 Good
"We had very good at the property, with few minor exceptions. I want to preface that for students it would be 5 star but for olderly folks it is almost there.Location was great, house was new and owner responsive. The improvements would be:1. Indicate in advertisement that cooling is not included during summer unless additional funds are provided to activate cooling. I was surprised that cooling had to be paid an extra.2. The house was clean and well stocked but the owner would do even better by investing in new towels and pillow cases. We asked for different towels and they were provided within 15 minutes(!) but they were same, worn out and not-so-white towels. In summary- great place, recommending it to young folks. Thank you for good customer service."
Spectacular Sea-View Villa with Spa Area
10/10 Excellent
"This was a great stay for my 30th birthday. Everything was very easy and reasonable. We couldn’t figure out how to work the steam room but it was warm enough we were fine."
Penthouse - absolutely stunning sea views - spacious, bright, all round terraces
8/10 Good
"We had a lovely stay in this penthouse. The view and location are absolutely unbeatable. The apartment is bright, spacious, modern and feels new. We had an amazing time in Malta overall. There were, however, a couple of things that could be improved. The apartment could have been cleaner on arrival. The floors were dusty, with bits sticking to our feet, and there was dust/fluff under the beds and in the corners. The shower basins also needed more attention. In one bedroom, the bedsheets didn’t appear freshly changed and there was a stain on the pillowcase. We covered it with towels for the first night, and the sheets were replaced the following day.The other issue was the electricity allowance. The listing stated that sufficient credit would be provided for the stay, so we trusted this and weren’t told to monitor the balance. On day 2 of our 8-day stay, we returned from the beach to find the electricity had run out, leaving us without air conditioning and with the fridge off. We had to go out and get change. And some food spoiled in the fridge. We were told the allowance was 2.50 per day. This may be sufficient in cooler months, but in August our usage was closer to 8 per day. We were happy to pay for extra electricity; we simply weren’t prepared for it to run out so quickly. Clearer information about the allowance and monitoring the meter would have helped. With a little more attention to cleaning and clearer information, this could be an excellent place to stay."
