About this property
Historic Condo in Downtown Fargo
Summary:
All is good here at Osgood! Come stay with us at #4 Osgood, a historic condo just steps away from vibrant downtown Fargo. Built in 1917, this unit has the perfect balance of old character and modern amenity.
The Space:
Spread out across 1300 feet of space, which includes the primary bedroom, secondary bedroom, a lovely living area, formal dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. You will love the original build-in cabinetry, ceiling beams, and dark wood trim.
Cuddle up on the sectional and enjoy a night in watching your favorite movie on the 65” TV, or stroll down Broadway to enjoy Fargo’s finest cuisine. With high speed internet, computer monitor, and a dedicated workspace, this is the perfect place to work remote during your visit to Fargo.
With dedicated off street parking, fully equipped kitchen, and in unit washer/dryer combo, you are set for a short term or long term stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full condo for the duration of their stay.
The Neighborhood:
The condo is located on the edge of downtown Fargo, across from the county court house. A few blocks away is Nichole's Pastries on Historic 8th St along with several shops and boutiques. Island Park, Fargo's best park (in my opinion) is just a short 8 minute walk away. Walk to Broadway downtown in 10 minutes or grab a $5 Uber or Lyft.
Getting Around:
You can definitely park at the condo and walk to most things downtown or take a short Uber/Lyft ride. There is also public transit that goes on 10th St, 200 ft from the door of the condo. Fargo also has an active B-Cycle system with the closest docking station at the YMCA on the north side of Island Park (10 minute walk).
Interaction with Guests:
Your host, Noah, is available before and during your stay via your booking application, text, or phone call :)

Arrived just after checking time found the apartment recently used with one bed stripped but bedding was available. Temperature/heat controlled by HOA by hot water with no thermostats available. If you enjoy a cool sleep its perfect. Kitchen stays about 68F living room 65F. Had a good time with family and outside of having to use blankets when sitting it was fine. VRBO agent needs to pre-check this the next time before paying cleaning fees.
My Mum and I were visiting my brother who now lives in Fargo and the apartment was a fantastic space for us to have some down time between visits. There was plenty of space for both of us and it was great to be able to have somewhere to call home. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed having access to different TV channels. We were also a short walk to a couple of coffee shops. Noah was a very attentive host, who regularly checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed which was appreciated. Check in was also easy and we loved the keyless entry. Just a note for visitors that you will be carrying your suitcase up a couple of flights of stairs. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would return again to this apartment!
The condo was super nice with everything i needed to feel right at home all within walking distance to downtown

I would like to warn others that may be considering booking this apartment. There is a huge 2" nail that sticks out of the front door on the interior side. It is a piece from a door knocker, but whatever was on the inside of the door, is no longer there. After a disturbing night when we believed that someone came into the unit while we were not there (more on that), and after lights kept turning off all by themselves (more on that too), my friend thought she heard something in the hallway outside. The entry was dark, but you could see a little light around what we though was a peephole to look outside. She came extremely close to impaling her eyeball on this nail because it wasn't a peephole! Notified the host of the liability and he said he couldn't comment on any liabilities in the unit? The lights would spontaneously turn off. Other lights have a button with no instructions on how to dim/brighten, or turn the very yellow light to a white light. The unit is over 100 yrs old, & we felt a very weird presence/vibe in the unit, so think what you might on that. The microwave didn't work. There was all kinds of personal effects in the property which was a bit unsettling (does someone live there when it's not rented?). The shower is scalding, but if you turn the temp down, it trickles out. The patio door pops open on it's own. The pillows are terrible. We left in the middle of the night of the 2nd of 3 nights because we were literally scared to be there. Beware of this place.
From the outside and hallway I was a little skeptical about what I booked until I entered and saw the character and warmth. Hardwood floors, cool furniture, very functional kitchen and bathroom. 10 minute walk to downtown Broadway area. 10 minute drive to NDSU. Definitely recommend and Noah (property manager) was very responsive and helpful.
Loved the sunroom but the weather was to cold but would love to see it in the summertime. Loved the layout. I love old buildings and this one is really cool and it was fun to look around and discover things around the building.

overpriced
Exorbitantly overpriced, taking advantage of a shortage of rooms in Fargo due to multiple events. It was uncomfortable to be in--as it was lived in and was as if the residents cleaned the fridge and then just left for a few days. Noisy due to the unit above in an old building. Lighting was not good, has an old building smell. The dwellers had decorated it very cute and for a personal apartment--fine. But for a VRBO for 400 a night: absolutely not. I ended up not staying for the duration of my booking and moved to a hotel further out.

Beautiful property but a bit cluttered
Location and decoration were great but the apartment was a bit cluttered with ornaments and the owner’s property. Although having lots of condiments, food (and even toiletries) available to ‘use a little, leave a little’ we felt a bit like Goldilocks in someone else’s house. There was little space to empty suitcases or store anything.
We visited Fargo with family. We could play cards around the dining room. There were many unique details that we noticed; the hand made soap in the bathroom, lovely exfoliating body wash, North Dakota puzzle, Fargo art work, Google clock in hallway, hues of blue and gold throughput the condo and an awesome TV!
