"We have just had a two night stay with friends.
My husband has very specific needs as an MND sufferer.
The staff could not have been more accommodating for us.
The team on reception arranged a chair to be put in our room, as he can’t sleep lying down now, the lads that brought it & the domestic staff with extra pillows.
It was challenging for us but nice to manage some time away.
Thank you all very much."
"Hotel is in former County Council offices and has really unique and attractive decor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Marco Pierre White Restaurant worth a visit"
"Absolutely magical place to stay! The rooms were immaculate, beds very comfy, and the staff wonderful! The floor we stayed on was accessible by a small spiral staircase; large enough to get suitcases up, but perhaps not the most accessible so bear that in mind when booking. Would highly recommend taking time to walk the grounds and throughout the castle during your stay!"
"Me and a good friend were away for a weekend in Newcastle.
We have stayed here quite a few times. Staff are always friendly and very helpful. Any requests I made were dealt with efficiently.
Breakfast is good but a bit pricey in my opinion.
We liked our room but we were put on the very top floor with many stairs.
Overall we were very happy with our stay.
Thank you"
"I love the hotel but what I did not like this time was, I was not allocated a room until I arrived. So I ended up with a disabled room. I don’t know if it was because I was a solo traveller or maybe they thought I would not arrive or even because I did not pay until I arrived. It took about 10 minutes to check in when the person next to me checked in , in 2 minutes. Apart from that I like staying at the Maldron."
"Lovely, central hotel. Friendly staff, small car park but we found space no problem. Room not huge but fine for our 1-night stay. We visit city centre several times a year & will definitely stay again"
