"Incredible hotel. Absolutely beautiful property. Rooms were beautiful. Staff friendly and professional. Convenient location."

"Something went wrong and staff did not respond with urgency. They gave the wrong information and did not follow-up with me. Any hotel can pore a glass of wine, make a bedroom clean but when you are traveling certain things need to be dealt with when something goes wrong. And then you can see the quality of the staff. No apologies, nothing."

"Everything was perfect"

"Lovely location overlooking the river, fabulous restaurant for breakfast or dinner. A place we keep coming back to, both for dining and accommodation. Very comfortable and peaceful. And it’s all about the peace above a lazy river… we’ll be back again."

"Spectacular place beautiful gardens, incredible staff. Highly recommended"

"We were looking forward to staying at this property but it turned out to be a disappointment. All of the staff is young and lacks professionalism and knowledge. They have a spa and two pools, but at check in the staff does not tell you about any of the amenities. We didn’t know there was an outdoor pool until the day before we left when we stumbled across it. The room and bathroom were clean, but sparse with poor lighting. The bed is very uncomfortable. The bar staff cannot tell you about...

"Loved the location of this hotel up in the hills above Pinhao. Wonderful views from our balcony down over the terraced vineyards to the Douro river below. Incredibly quiet and peaceful spot. Also liked the hotel bar. There’s not much going on in Pinhao at night, but the LBV bar has a nice gathering of guests from all over and a good menu of salads, drinks and other light fare. Rooms are small as with just about all new boutique hotels these days, but very clean snd nice."

"The setting is stunning, the staff are so kind and helpful, the property is clean and well-maintained. It was so nice I stayed another night. Absolutely worth the stay!"

"Every detail on this property was executed to perfection. The second you are on premise, serenity and tranquility takes over. If I could give the staff 10 stars, I would. Their service level was masterclass and made my experience extraordinarily special."

"Our stay at Octant Douro was easily the highlight of our trip to Portugal. We absolutely loved the hotel’s tranquil and picturesque setting along the Douro River. Our room overlooked the river, and we often found ourselves sitting in silence, simply taking in the breathtaking scenery and peaceful surroundings. The pool facilities were beautifully maintained and provided the perfect setting for relaxation. The restaurants were outstanding, and the breakfast was excellent, offering a delicious...

"Great check in process, got a vineyard tour and tasting included with our stay and the tour guide was awesome! Really enjoyed our balcony view of the river and valley."

"Beautiful property immersed in nature. The views, architecture, pool and plants were stunning. Food at the restaurant was excellent. A really unique stay."

"Excellent service from all of the staff. Clean and well appointed room. Balcony with fantastic views. Excellent, quiet, peaceful, beautiful location. Nice outdoor pool, deck and loungers with great views in all directions. Very good restaurant for breakfast; fantastic evening meal. Well-stocked bar."

"Lovely hotel but we were too busy touring to enjoy the hotel's amenities. Would like to have stayed longer. Close to downtown and easily walkable."

"A truly lovely place to stay! One of the best hotel views EVER. Very friendly staff, well-maintained and new rooms. And did I mention the views? Fewer frills than some of the bigger properties in the Duoro, but peaceful, comfortable and friendly. Highly recommended!"
