We liked the property and the privacy there. The service people are very friendly, The food is good but could be a bit more fancy. The quality of the offeredtea ( tea bags of the simplest) would have to be improved. Please compare the offer of other 5 stars hotels in the world.

The grounds and the villa were beautiful. The pool and the restaurant were top notch. The hotel provided bicycles that were perfect for riding around the grounds and to a nearby park, where there was restaurants, shopping, zip lining, and a cenote. The staff was excellent and it was a fantastic experience!

Amazing property! We only went for one night, and we plan on going back for 3-4 nights next year. The location is a little out of the main part of town but easily walked. We had a car. The beach goes on forever and is right across the street. The room was gorgeous. The water was hot, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast delivered was an extra perk. We will be back!

Stayed here on honeymoon. Rented a car and explored the Yucatan using the Hacienda as a base. Wonderful property, the casitas maya are excellent, and the food at the restaurant (especially breakfast) is the best of what the region has to offer. The staff are discrete, almost entirely out of site but quickly in the room to clean up once you leave for dinner, etc. Great place.

Another return visit, and I'd come back a third time without hesitation. If you're exploring Uxmal, the Ruta Puuc, or the broader region, The Pickled Onion is simply the right place to stay. The huts are rustic and charming — simple, colorful, and comfortable with AC and a fridge — exactly what you need after a day of archaeological sites. This hotel was absolutely awesome. The courtyard was like a small oasis in the city. The room we had was spacious and beautiful.

Hacienda Santa Rosa will forever live in my memory as one of the most magical places I've stayed. Despite being managed by a hotel chain, it hasn't lost its patina and authenticity. I picked this hotel since it was located close to my family's house. I am so glad I did because this hotel put a ton of American hotels to shame with how clean, quiet, easily located from the street and nice it was. The price was also very reasonable for how large the room was. The security was also very good at this hotel when my dad was trying to come up to our room to pick us up they made him wait until they called my room to verify who he was. Free breakfast was available but I did not eat....

The hotel is fairly new and is well kept. The staff were all very helpful in getting taxis, reservations and just bringing fresh towels to the room.

The hotel was fancier, cleaner, quieter than I expected. The 2-meal option (dinner and breakfast for me) was delicious and well worth the extra fee. The pool was slightly heated but clean, refreshing, and large enough for lap swimming. The hotel clerk let me play pool in the library. We stayed for 6 days and it was a great experience. We had stayed on Holbox several times before and Holbox Dream met our every need. The rooms were very nice, we didn't need a TV at all. Bathrooms and showers were well done. The breakfasts were a surprise, wide selection and great service. The front desk crew were all aces, ready to help with every need. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and the bed super comfortable. The place itself has very peaceful vibes ideal for a relaxing stay. The staff were a great providing useful information about the area and activities. We would love to return!

The hotel is located in a nice quiet part of the city. Very clean and everyone was very courteous. We rented a car and was able to get around easily to other places far and near. We enjoyed our trip.
