The gal at the front desk was amazing, I’d only had three hours of sleep because I went to the Prodigy gig the night before and then I decided this was a decent place to crash for the night. I got in early and while I was willing to sleep in my car until time to check in, she went above and beyond to get me sorted. There was also a really lovely lady who was working on my floor doing housekeeping who I chatted with briefly. She told me to go in and get my head down, and was just so friendly....

We loved it. Sorry we ere only there one night. But the experience was great. Carla was so amazingly welcoming. We sat in the pub/ dining area for hours talking with her and some locals and other guests! I would recommend this to everyone

This was our last night before we flew home, and we were very thankful that the beds were comfortable, and the shower was one of the best! The staff were very helpful, and the parking was nice because it was close and free. A great stay.

We had a wonderful time and shall return!!

Driving up to the hotel I instantly fell in love with this place. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We were arriving late and the hotel arranged for us to have sandwiches waiting which was perfect. Peebles is adorable town nearby and recommend a visit. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in the UK (and I've been staying at quite a few 5 star hotels). The staff was professional, friendly, and accomodating. They def pay attention to details and ensure we have the best experience. Even provided me some of the best local recs and I was quite impressed (and this is coming from a foodie like me)

We had a short stay in Edinburgh, and this hotel was a real highlight. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtful, and the room felt comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, so we slept well every night. The staff were especially good. They were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived, and they made the stay easy. The location is quiet and peaceful, but you still get good connections into the city centre. Arthur's Seat is also easy to reach, which was a big plus for us. One...

Enjoyed our stay here. Room was a great size with comfortable beds. Location is excellent: 5 min walk to the castle, and around a variety of shops and restaurants and a very safe area. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only “con” is parking for the hotel, which is about a 15 min walk away, so can be challenging if driving.

When we arrived near the end of time the kitchen was open, they arranged for our bags to be brought to our room and brought us directly to a table in the bar so we got to order in time. The concierge ordered a taxi for our early morning departure the next day and was very helpful. Everyone we met was nice. The room was clean and had a nice shower. Wish we stayed here longer.

Amazing overall. Bed could be a little more Cush but overall great facilities and the cafe at the bottom is wonderful.

Convenient location allowed us to walk to all the attractions, shops, and endless dining options. The staff was friendly, the bartender was a super hard worker and great at his job, and the rooms were clean. The hotel locks the gate at night so you have to use your key to get in, which is a nice feature for safety. If you are a light sleeper, it might be too noisy for you.
