"Well, if you expect what was advertised you’re in for a surprise. The property is tired, the hotel amenities were absent, and we will not be returning. There we no wash cloths, bath mats, or hair dryer. Coffee maker didn’t work either and the balcony chairs were ready to shatter. Staff were friendly but ineffective in resolving the issues. Beach front was great- made it very easy to enjoy the surf for a few hours."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the room was very dated & a bit shabby. Run down tables, curtains, and walls. Peeling paint & wallpaper. Rusty nails & exposed wall coverings. However, for a quick family getaway, it was fine. The inside pool was freezing, but the hot tub was great. Elevators were good. There was a class reunion holding an event there, so it was a bit busier than expected for the offseason. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. We never had an opportunity to...

"We really enjoyed the stay and look forward to returning! The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and balcony had a great view."

"Was not expecting the hard sell on future stays and meetings when I arrived. Felt like an aggresive timeshare experience the minute I walked in the door after a long car ride that I didn't need. Pretty disappointed."

"The accommodation and amenities were very nice."

"Had a great overnight trip. I will be back soon hopefully the elevator is fixed then."

"I very much appreciated the way the staff treated us, they were first-class. Wifi outages on Sept. 30 and October 1 we are seniors and don’t do the nightlife. We watch tv and go to bed. The paperwork at the spa can be transitioned to tablets. When using multiple days the info would self populate. A handhold at the front of the tub, we are seniors and have balance issues getting in and out of the tub. Or better yet convert the tubs to walk-in showers. I mean who takes a bath when one is at a spa."

"Check-in as terrible, although the staff was just following "orders." Took too long to even verify the reservation was paid for, then, THEN they would not issue a key without $28.00 charge for a "resort fee." THEN THEY WANT AN ADDITIONAL $200.00 CREDIT CHARGE FOR A DAMAGE DEPOSIT JUST IN CASE THE ROOM WAS DAMAGED. OF COURSE NONE OF THIS WAS EXPLAINED IN THE INITIAL RESERVATION. ALL THE "MAID" HAS TO DO IS "CLAIM" SOMETHING WAS DAMAGED AND THEY KEEP YOUR $200.00 AND YOU HAVE NO PROOF THAT IT WAS...

"The room was clean and the staff was very helpful and courteous"

"It is an older hotel. I did have difficulties with operating the TV, but maintenance responded rapidly. Overall, the hotel was exactly what I was looking for, and should I return to Virginia Beach I would stay there again."

"There were amps in our room even after they changed our room. There was ants in the second room. The pool didn't have heating system. The child's playroom was closed for construction"
