"Only saw reception staff to check in which was quite late after a wedding. Castle grounds are superb but parking is tricky. We stayed outside in the coach block only one space left well away from our room. The room is very small but clean and served its purpose for a night stay. Obviously very old,the stairs were very steep to the second floor which I didn’t realise I thought it was all ground floor level, which was tricky with mobility issues. Nice to have a later checkout of 11am though."

"I had good sleep. The lady making breakfast very friendly makes you feel like home. I booked one day and then added another night. Good for the price, I had to ask for pillows the one was in the room wasn’t to my liking . "

"No Breakfast available , thought it included it but still it wasn’t offered , also refused to help when I couldn’t originally travel ! Good location but rip off"

"The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was absolutely not acceptable. Below any acceptable standards."

"The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble Breakfast was excellent (especially the croissants)"

"Whilst the hotel is being refurbished we found it good value, clean and the staff were exceptionally welcoming. Decent choice at breakfast and whilst our room was a little outdated it was clean and of a good size. We managed to park in front of the hotel too and our room faced the sea."
