"The room was filthy and disgusting and smelled to the point where we had to get a plug-in air freshener. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a week. We asked for new towels and they never took the old ones or empty the garbage or made the beds."

"The bathroom ceiling looked like it was going to cave in so we didn't take showers there afraid it might. The outlet near the bathroom sink wasn't working. The blow dryer was coming out of the wall. There was an iron but no ironing board. The floors were nasty. Someone had two big dogs tied to a post. The outside was disgusting. I would never recommend this hotel. We had gone to 3 others before but they were all filled up."

"Hideaway Bay is a great little spot. We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage itself was very clean and nice. The beach is quite rocky so you need shoes to walk around and for the water (especially for little kids). It was great to have access to loungers and umbrellas. The beach bar was delivered food and drinks right to you on the beach, I would suggest putting side tables with the beach furniture so people have a place to put their drink down. The fire at night was lovely, everyone gathered...

I've stayed in all kinds of very cheap, "rustic" places, this one was by far the worst."

"The location is amazing! It has a panoramic view of the lake and the sound of the waves crashing is so relaxing. The beach area is nice and somewhat isolated. It’s an older home but has everything you need for nice stay. My only concern is the bathtub: I would caution anyone with stability issues against using it. The beds were rather comfortable, which in a rental is always a nice surprise. The TV options were great, my adult boys were happy with the variety of channels. If you’re looking to...

"It's a beautiful space away from home. Clean, spacious, with beautiful views of the lake. We were even able to go home with clean laundry.The host was lovely! Recommending restaurants, where we could find activities we were interested in, as well as checking to see if we needed anything. "
