"Great great location. Don’t need to stay near the pier and pay their price. Great value at this hotel, clean , modern, well maintained and excellent location. Bar and restaurant on site so no need to venture out hunting for something. Many friends stay near pier for pre cruises but way more expensive while this hotel is only 10 minutes to pier was way more cost effective. Uber was only 8 pounds. Definitely recommend this hotel for all singles couples and family."

"Le petit déjeuner et le fish & chips étaient excellents"

"Every thing are perfect"

"This was my first stay in DoubleTree Southampton and it’ll be the first on my list of places to stay when I return to the city again. Friendly staff, fantastic rooms, great shower in room, great food and atmosphere and breakfast was top notch. Definitely recommend this hotel."

"This is a fantastic hotel in a perfect location if you are on a cruise or visiting the Isle of Wight. The breakfast is great and the dinner is good too (although the menu is a bit limited). They have made great improvements since the renovation to change it to Voco. Be very careful though. Although we registered our hire car with the hotel, our rental company received a violation ticket for one day of our stay and we received a fine of almost CAD $300! The dispute is still ongoing a the process...

"Second Nature Southampton is a lovely hotel. The room we had was spacious and clean, with a nicely sized bathroom. It’s not a far walk to Oxford Street, where you can find a collection of good restaurants and pubs. St. Mary’s Stadium, the goal of our trip, was an easy twenty minute walk away. The friendly front desk staff can get a little overwhelmed, as they have to attend to check-ins and the cafe; and if you have an email with your parking confirmation, have it ready, otherwise you may be...

"Another great stay at this fine establishment. No suite this time but a nice room all the same. Got a great workout at the hotel gym followed by an invigorating shower. A full night's sleep was followed by a wonderful breakfast spread. The hotel is within distance of several dining options. Look forward to another stay here."

"Clean and spacious room, very courteous and helpful staff."

"Clean bedroom and bathroom. Public areas not so much. When we arrived late afternoon there were empty beer bottles in the corridor near our bedroom, old, dirty, cutlery outside another, on another floor. Room service plates etc outside another. These were there still the next day at check out. Staff were not overly personable on reception either, no info. given about leisure centre on check in - would have been helpful to know swim school runs on a Saturday morning! On check out when dropping...

"Great hotel and incredibly helpful and friendly staff, big thanks to Mark in reception who was really attentive and nice during a midnight check in. Thanks."

"Great hotel in a great location, if there were one ‘ask’ it would be to keep the gym open a little later."

"Rooms are very old fashion and parking very expensive"

"Property was clean and staff helpful. There were no washcloths in the bathroom but the room was otherwise fine."

"We had a studio apartment - it was for one night only pre cruise - wish it had been longer. A very comfortable room With amenities. We also had the most delicious meal in the restaurant and if you are a hotel guest then you get 15% off the bill. There was water in the fridge and tea coffee on offer. Will deffo stay here again pre cruise!"

"Some good, some bad... We arrived late in the evening and had a nice welcome. There were some petit fours in our room and it looked very attractive, if very cold. The bed and bed linen was good and the (small) bathroom attractively fitted out. But beneath the surface there are obvious problems. The foyer had a bad damp smell. The heating consists of an air conditioning unit in each room, which was noisy and not particularly effective. The electric towel rail did not heat up. The coldness...

"The staff was excellent and very helpful. Good location. Very close to the port"
