"My wife and I went for a romantic, quiet getaway and we definitely got that and more! What a beautiful place! We really didn’t think we would use the plunge pool as much as we did but it was great. Having the room at the very end helped in our feeling off on our own. The food was great, lots of variety and different delicious flavours. Some dinners the portions were quite small and the afternoon tea options were kind of laughable with how little variety there was. I would have liked the option...

We were in room 113, which unlike every other beachfront room) is a smaller room with a shared deck and an adjoining door. It should cost less that the beachfront room that our friends had. The other issue was variability of the food: buffet was good, speciality restaurants were ok, but the baked goods (bread and pastries) were consistently not well made and lacked any...

The bathroom is lovely with a peek a boo view of the water- nice treat. At night with all the lights off you can see so many stars and the moon perfectly. There is a simply equipped kitchen but great for the basic cooking. There is also an outdoor kitchen by the pool which has a gas grill, sink, stove top and fridge. "The House at Willikies was an interesting stay. If you want to stay somewhere authentically Antiguan, with home decoration and a real home experience this is a great place. The property is large to UK standards and the grounds are immaculate. The views and sea access were the absolute selling point for me - stunning!Some of the downsides for us were unfortunately outside anyones control - we came in July and arrived during a particularly hot heatwave (yes in Antigua!), the property was stifling...

"Had a fantastic week here. Villa was surprisingly large and in a very nice condition. Long beach is a very short walk away but would recommend a car. Driving is not as difficult as I was expecting and the island is small so we managed to see all of the main sites and beaches very easily. Would recommend highly."
