"We have stayed at La Playa for the last 5 years. This is a great location for people not wanting to drive after dark. The restaurants of Orient Village or Ti Palms are right next door. Excellent French and Italian dining! There is a small grocery even closer that has a good selection and will save you a trip to the Match or Super-U. If you want to skip the included breakfast, the Good Morning is a great alternative for French pastries. We do not use the beach at the hotel, only because...

"Beautiful property, quiet and well kept. Only downfall is location is on the French side of the island and without a car things get very expensive getting taxis to and from things to do. If planning to stay at this resort please know it’s on the French side which means it’s not close to the popular tourists attractions. Otherwise decent resort."

The location was perfect for relaxing and enjoying views without the crowd… close proximity to many attractions, supermarket and restaurants in walking distance, but highly recommend renting a vehicle because it’ll make the experience much better! "This property is so ideally suited for a couples trip or a family of four. Fewer than 12 units in size but each unit is a fully functioning apartment-sized space. Each unit has a wonderful outdoor deck area literally 50 feet from the water. There are parking spots both underground and a surface lot should you have a car.
