"Staff was not present when we arrived and was not friendly once they showed up. Room was clean with the exception of finding dirty towel in the bathroom. Air conditioning and heat worked well, with no musty order. Breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon was not very good. Pasty and muffins were okay. Coffee was good and hot. Quiet surroundings made for a good nights sleep."

"This place was every blue collar man’s dream. Well priced, cozy, full of possible activities located in one of the most scenic parts of West Virginia. I’m coming back to this place with my kids and then my kids kids if they are still around!"

"The property was very well maintained. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and offered cookies. The room was small but overlooked the city and the mountains. The next morning we watched as the train got ready for passengers. The breakfast buffet was very well organized and kept restocked throughout the morning"

"Great breakfast"

"Very relaxing property which we enjoyed while celebrating my wife's birthday. Great getaway to unplug and enjoy the natural setting. I highly recommend this property and the owner. Very informative and ready to assist. Can't go wrong perched in the "Crow's Nest"!"

"Spotless, cozy cabin with everything you needed. Fire pit, Grill, covered hot tub, store, laundry, picnic table all within steps of the cabin. Super quiet at night with nothing but the beautiful sound of the river just a stone’s throw away. The windowed porch at the entrance was very convenient as well. And whatever you needed that you didn’t have, the town of Elkins was just up the road less than 15 minutes away while still giving you the enjoyment of a remote river canyon. Can’t say enough...

"The attention to detail was very welcoming and so were the cute cats. The welcome tray was a nice touch. The price was awesome. My friend and I attended a yoga festival not too far away and discovered some lovely park areas along the river. I will definitely return to visit some of those spots next time. Also, looking forward to next year's yoga jam."

"Nice location"

"Enjoyed every bit of my stay. Exactly what I was looking for. Would definitely stay again"

"We wanted to get away from the heat and we found a great spot for that at Glady Hideaway. Totally shaded and much cooler than out in the sun. We also like to get away from hustle and bustle when we vacation. Glady Hideaway is perfect for that. Small town Elkins nearby had everything we needed: grocery store, gas station, brewery (Big Timber Brewing $5 draft beer!), and coffee shop (Tip Top). The WiFi worked the whole time we were there which was very helpful when mapping out our hikes. Plenty of...

"Our stay was excellent. Convenient location and very peaceful."

"The yurt was adorable, comfortable, and clean. Had a fantastic stay, and would definitely recommend."

"Enjoyed our stay. We would do not more than 3 days next time, as we like to cook. We picked up a skillet at a thrift store so we could cook grilled cheese and scrambled eggs on the grill. They do have a nice toaster for breakfast. Beautiful setting."
