"This hotel is in a spectacular setting, and the grounds are extensive, as befits a grand building from the 19th century. Inside the decor is in keeping with the overall look and feel of the building, and it's easy to imagine the guests dressed up for meals and other activities. A few things to note - those needing handicap access or an easier means for porting their luggage in or out, have no accommodation at the front door, but rather have to find the (somewhat) hidden notice off to one side...

"New parking charge of £10 per day. Ants in bedroom, pool locker jammed and had to wait 25 mins to get clothes etc and asked for a towel to be told to use the hairdryer to warm myself. No plug in wash hand basin. Feel that hotel has been let to run down lately. Food expensive !!! "

"Fabulous place in a beautiful setting. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with excellent storage and a lovely en-suite shower room. "Lovely clean room, big white fluffy towels friendly staff. Excellent fresh food and lovely pool, sauna, steam room and spa treatments. 10 minutes walk to Aberfeldy and lovely walk up The Birks. What's no to like!"

"Arrived at hotel early evening. Had problems from beginning i.e. trying to log in to pay for parking, enquiries re breakfast. Staff do not know anything about parking, restaurant and leisure facilities as they are all owned separately. Have stayed here often over previous years but sadly it has gone downhill. However, the room was clean, bed and bedding was very comfortable and bathroom/shower came with soap and toiletry sachets. We didn't get breakfast as it didn't look worth paying £14. ...

On our second day he remembered us and came over as soon as we were seated to say he had already requested my husband's gluten free toast before we even asked. Little touches such as biscuits for guests in their room and a safe to keep belongings perhaps although presume property is four start bed and breakfast rated and not hotel. It’s an amazing concept which I would have opted for regardless, so very nice touch. It made me feel like you appreciate my business. Hotel is at the Center of activity. "Wow. this place was definitely something else. The experience really begins at the entrance of the estate (do watch out for potholes). The environment where the estate is just absolutely lovely. The staff were also very kind and professional. I felt very welcome here. Would definitely come by again if I had the chance! I was in a rush so i couldnt get breakfast but I would 100% recommend."
