"No communication or appearance by staff except the email before arrival. The hot tub signage was not easy to locate and it took over 2 hours for tub to fill, as apparently it is emptied nightly instead of being covered. Other than that the rooms, showers and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is clean and food available for breakfast. A bit tight in the kitchen if everyone who stayed needed to use it at the same time"

"Very nice clean room with linens and towels. There is a small table and chair. There is a common kitchen with stove, sink, coffee and tea. It is small though and it was crowded at breakfast time. We did not know to ask for a room with water view. That would have been nice. There is a nature park north of the property for nice hiking. There are restaurants in town."

"This hotel was well marked and the location near the water was great! We took a walk on the beach and rocks and enjoyed that very much. The rooms felt like a dorm more than a hotel and we had requested double beds but were given twin beds in all 3 rooms that we reserved. The instructions for check in were not clear and we had to get support on the line from Hotels.com to figure out check in as there was no staff at check in time and the phone number for the hotel wasn’t working. Breakfast was only offered for some guests and not included for all and it looked like mostly boxed cold food. Overall, it was clean and fine. It wasn’t memorable or impressive and the lack of staff for check in, for answering questions via email or phone, and the lack of warmth even with the breakfast made it a place we probably wouldn’t stay again. The best part about it was the location, and we did appreciate that the rooms were clean and there was free parking."

"I loved staying at the Aurora Igloo North. I fell asleep watching clouds and stars. I woke up seeing horses and mountains. My room was very clean. The room had a heater and a fan. The bed was heated and had the most luxurious comforters so I wasn't cold in the middle of the night. Someone attends to the kitchen and shared bathrooms throughout the day, so the places stay tidy and well stocked with clean fluffy towels. When I showered at 6pm the shower gel was empty and still empty the next morning at 7am. I used the plentiful shampoo instead to wash my body so it was fine. Sometimes there is a short wait to use the bathroom. The kitchen has a complimentary coffee machine and tools to cook even though I didn't use them. For the price, I think this place was a great value for such a unique and lovely experience."

"We stayed with two kids and it was great. Nice friendly staff and animals. We didn’t try the hot tub or sauna but they looked great and we saw others trying them out. Breakfast was good (especially the cakes!). Very close to Krokur (small town) and lots of activities nearby (horse riding, hot spa, turf houses)"
