Hotels with Bars in Nagano Prefecture from SAR 240

A wonderful dinner was included in our stay. The chef came out to explain each dish. There is an outdoor bathtub that is amazing.

The family friendly atmosphere is wonderful. My kids didn't want to leave. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and huge. Dinner was yummy too. Portion sizes are big. We can't wait to come stay again. Nao San is a great hostess.

An unforgettable experience with my son who is 9 we enjoyed the private onsen with 2 separate baths we bathed under the stars which was perfect. The staff was incredibly accommodating attentive and so SWEET , the Japanese chocolate covered pecans are dreamy definitely grab a box or 2!

All around incredible stay. Located on the Onsen road, with access to two public baths outside of the hotel, two very well equipped Onsen within the hotel, and the option to reserve a private Onsen as well. Not listed on when booking, but the hotel picked us up from the train station, as well as runs a free shuttle once every morning (940am) to the monkey park. This traditional ryotan was wonderful. It was a blend of traditional Japanese with modern updates. We booked a suite that had western beds and a private onsen. Our sons shared a smaller room with tatami mats. We selected the traditional dinner and breakfast which were wonderful experiences. If you do not like traditional Japanese food you may not like the meal option. The service was great and staff helpful, despite some language limitations. This ryokan is the best location in Matsumoto! Along with being beautiful and super clean, you literally walk out the front door and you’re on an idyllic street with restaurants and shops. It’s also walkable from the train station, and a short walk to the castle. If you’re looking for a traditional ryokan, this is it! The host also speaks great English and is very helpful if you need anything.

The front desk agents were super kind and helpful. They both spoke English. We needed that. Bountiful and delicious dinner and breakfast buffets were included. Our room was amazingly well appointed and large. The king bed was beyond adequate. It was two full sized beds bound together. We hope to return to this property some day.

Amazing ryoken

Private retreat nestled in the woods of Karuizawa! Wonderful host - very friendly and attentive. Our visit in June was right before their hydrangeas blossomed….i can imagine it would have been even more magical!

Very enjoyable experience with polite staff in kimono. If one would like to immerse themselves in Japanese tradition with tatami floors, sleeping on futon, and taking a traditional bath (onsen)/dress in yukata provided by the hotel, then this is the hotel for you.

Special design vibe was the attraction for our party. Need to reserve breakfast the day before, so plan ahead. All in all a nice unique alternative in Takayama, part Japanese, part Western.

Excellent meals and clean, comfortable room

A 5 star experience in a wonderful wooded area of the city. Striking design and great ambience combined with top level amenities, excellent food and friendly staff make the stay at this hotel an experience that I will always remember. Get ready to be spoiled when staying at this hotel! Part of the amenities also includes plenty of parking and a free shuttle service to the train station.
