Discovery Coron

"My wife and I first visited Discovery Coron (then Club Paradise) in May 2013. 5 stars, nothing but praise at that time, for the facilities, staff, restaurant, and beaches. We returned in April 2022, and what a change. In my review then, I pointed out problems with the staff in terms of communications and ability to provide service, in pre-trip arrangements, at reception, and at the restaurant. The facilities needed maintenance, the grounds needed cleaning. Our room was in poor condition. The island was still beautiful and tranquil, but it was such a disappointment to see the changes to a previously wonderful resort. After that review I was contacted by the General Manager, Mr. Joegil Escobar. I felt his was an honest response and that he understood the need for improvement. From recent reviews, it seemed that most of the problems had been addressed; Discovery Coron again seemed like a good place to visit, this time with my son and his family, including our 3-year old grandson. We could not have been happier with our choice to return. From excellent communications post booking, to our airport pickup, reception, service from the staff, everything was easy and wonderful. The happy and welcoming spirit was back with the staff. We, and especially our toddler, were treated wonderfully. The facilities are again in top shape, our room was well cared for and very clean. Both food and service in the restaurant were well enjoyed. Same for the PADI dive shop and Glow spa. Well done!"

"Zuri resort and the staff are so wonderful they go way above and beyond for us . I highly recommend Zuri resort if you’re wanting to come see Coron . Their breakfast is also good and the staff are so attentive and nice . It was really a good experiences to have while we were in Coron. Overall Zuri hotel and resort is one of the best hotels we’ve had . From picking us up from the airport to our check in time and for our room that was upgraded to a king bed to the staff was really great . Thank you Zuri hotel and resort and to all the staff and the team for making our trip so special.❤️❤️❤️"

"A good, clean hotel with excellent service! There is a beautiful view of the beach! Breakfast was good, but dinner was not tasty. The only downside was the lack of a restroom near the reception—very strange for a hotel of this class, and it was quite inconvenient having to walk so far to use the facilities. Another major issue was that the air in the restroom was unbreathable due to an excessive amount of chemical air freshener; the chemical odor was so strong it stung the eyes—it felt like one could actually suffer from toxic poisoning from the fumes! Everything else was good."

"Our stay at the Paolyn Houseboat was absolutely incredible. From start to finish, the hosts and staff were very responsive and accommodating, making sure every detail of our stay was looked after. One of the best features is how easy it is to explore the area. Because they have multiple speedboats available, it was incredibly convenient to move around, go on excursions, and see the sights whenever we wanted without any hassle or waiting. It is truly a beautiful way to disconnect and experience nature at its finest. Waking up surrounded by pristine waters and stunning views was magical. If you are looking for a unique, peaceful getaway with top-notch service, I highly recommend staying here!"

"Book this resort ! Yes it is expensive but the experience is first class! The staff are amazing and so very attentive, bar staff were amazing and attentive, food was top notch and our beach front villa amazing! Housekeeping came twice a day and really did a phenomenal job! Cauayan is top notch from pick up in El Nido to the return to El Nido . Spa ladies were great and our 2 hour massages so amazing! Resort offers free kayaking and mask and snorkels to use during your stay!"
