"We spent 2 wonderful days here, and it made for the perfect weekend getaway. The hotel was small, cozy, and full of charm, with a great location close to everything we wanted to explore. The indoor pool was a nice bonus, and the beach was absolutely breathtaking. The only downside was that the water was incredibly cold—but the stunning views more than made up for it. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily come back. Sometimes a quick escape is all you need. 🌊☀️✨"

"The rooms were vintage style which we really enjoyed. They gave us back to back rooms with door in between which was super convenient. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool and we enjoyed the beach front. Breakfast was really good too."

"Hotel staff was great and were constantly cleaning! But the hotel room we had seemed to be a little outdated in the bathroom. A new shower and what appeared to be mold on the wall next to the toilet. Not the staff fault but ownership. Would still come back great beach location!"

"This is a great option for people staying on Mackinac Island. Shepler's Ferry delivers your luggage directly to the hotel, which is a very helpful amenity. We enjoyed the hot tub, and dinner at the 1852 Grill Room was the best meal we had on the island. Highly recommend, though I would advise to make sure you book a room with a window view of the harbor (which we did)."

"We had a balcony view that was amazing. 2 chairs to watch the sunrise was awesome too! Beach was nice and chairs available outside as well. The room was clean and beds were comfortable! Minor details like cleaning out the wall shades that had bugs in it but my guess is other guests leave the balcony door open which can attract many bugs on the water in the summer. "We stayed four nights to enjoy the area and this place is centrally located allowing access to other near-by sites. The room was very clean and the staff helpful. They are currently updating the rooms. This is a good place for families with children or couples."

"The main thing this hotel has to offer is location! (Which makes me wonder if this is how it can get away with charging so much yet providing a somewhat rundown dirty facility). So if you want a place where you can walk anywhere downtown St. Joseph, MI including the beach, this would be for you HOWEVER, I must add that the room had lots of bugs and was not super clean. The piles of dead bugs including piles in the corner under the floor lamp as well as a pile in the light fixture and surfaces...
