"great hotel and all the staff were amazing Bit hilly but buggies very useful room and swim up pool lovely preference club lounge great and lots of choices of drinks and snacks tried to majority of specialist restaurants and enjoyed them all main bar a problem with long wait times to get served but enjoyed trying all the options which were well made by experienced staff on checkout appears someone used the shuttle bus into capital and charged to our room, were not forced to pay but a not a nice...

They all spoke a level of English (which was good for us seeing as we don’t speak Portuguese). The room was incredible, we splashed out a bit and got a junior suite with an ocean view and it was INCREDIBLE. The amenities were great - we tried to make use of all that we could considering our short stay. Definitely book again."

"Pestana Royal is a very outdated hotel. If you are looking for clean modern look that is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place with high quality food that is not the right place. Food quality is very poor. It is a very mediocre place with clean rooms and very mediocre food."

"This hotel would be great if it wasn’t for a couple of things. The pools close early. Sun goes down at 9pm, but all amenities are closed at 6pm. When you are done exploring for the day, the amenities are closed when you want to use them most. The room needs renovation. The pillows were terrible and the bed is stiff as a board. Parking is a nightmare. They advertise that they have parking, but it was sold out all 5 nights. The only other viable option is at the casino. It’s right next door...
