"The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable provided toiletries and earplugs. Breakfast couldn’t fault please be aware that it’s in a restaurant across the road not in the property. The beach isn’t private,it’s open to public. Just a few things that they use loose terminology on describing the hotel. The thing for us was the early morning road noise from deliveries to shops below and work going on. If you don’t mind the above then the hotel is bang in the middle."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, but Luana at reception deserves a special mention. She was incredibly kind...

"The hotel is like a maze with endless hallways, housekeeping does a poor job, breakfast overpriced and very limited. We send clothes to laundry and dry clean and they damaged several pieces, I need it ice for my ice-therapy machine for my knee and will have to order something from room service to be able to get an ice bucket delivered, no ice machine available to guests. Phone in the room was not working, lights were also not working properly, TV service only with 2 news channels in English...

"The staff were so inviting and helpful. Our room was so clean and thoughtfully designed with a great welcome gift from the hotel which was such a nice surprise. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and all I have to say is WOW from the service to the food it was a great experience. The property itself was beautifully taken care of and was just steps away from the piazza."
