"I don't write these reviews, but spent 2 weeks there and it was not worth the money! We found a roach in our room, the entrance of the hotel always smelled like sewer and the fan was broken in our bathroom, nothing ever dried. This wasn't as important, but still an issue: we had hundreds of TV stations, but only 2 English speaking stations(the TV was not a smart TV and had no access to the internet or apps to watch anything else). Great City, but there are better places to stay."

When I called the reception desk, I was told by Monia, to call up to the bar and that they would send me some ice. I called up to the bar and whoever answered the phone said they could not bring me any ice as it was too busy, and asked me if I could come up to the bar to get it. I explained that I wasn't feeling well and...

"This review is for the Hotel Continental’s sister hotel, Hotel Grand Savoia, as we were upgraded to that hotel before arriving in Genoa. Check-in was seamless, the room was very well appointed with a super comfortable bed, and service was top notch. We almost missed checkout and our noon train departure time due to sleeping two hours later than planned due to the comfort and darkness (blackout shades) of the hotel room.
