Beautiful historic hotel in a countryside setting, just a mile from a mediaeval village. Very nice restaurant on site.

Just a lovely stay in a wonderful relaxing place. Staff were helpful, friendly and efficient beyond expectations. Our room was beautifully appointed. I'd recommend booking a ground-floor room if possible; there is no elevator and the staircases are narrow and twisty, not to the point of being dangerous or anything, but for a couple in our 70s, we needed some help getting our luggage up and down stairs. The included breakfast is several steps above the waffle-machine-and-day-old-eggs offered so...

Safe hotel

I’ve stayed here numerous times and I always enjoy it. I do wish I had a room that faced the main road, but that’s my own preference; my stay was still quite comfortable and fun!

We had a one night stay for a treat. Stayed in Treetops room. Very nice facilities. We also walked around the property on the longer path which took 1.5 hours & is beautiful.

The staff at Hotel Indigo were amazing! They answered all of my questions with ease, and made me feel extremely comfortable and happy with my decision to chose Hotel Indigo. The room was clean, and looked exactly like the picture. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend that others stay there as well!

Excellent breakfast with really attentive service, the hotel was so close to everything but also really quiet. It is not the most modern place but is clean, comfortable, perfect location and lovely owners/staff so is definitely worth the price. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything at The Windermere Hotel was excellent. All of the staff members were super friendly from the emails we exchanged prior to my arrival, to every time I was in and out of the hotel to the breakfast dining staff. My room was cozy and quiet and breakfast (which was included) I really enjoyed. The staff is really the key to this wonderful hotel. I felt so welcomed and I cannot say enough nice things about the hotel's team. Thank you for everything!

I booked this hotel because it was giving a discount on Expedia. Overall, this hotel is wonderful. It is a designer hotel, a former town hall of this particular district that was built like a hundred years ago and renovated. The inside reflects a 1930 art deco flair. It belongs in a group of hotels called Designer Hotels. The room I stayed in had any possible amenities a modern apartment could have. Very nice hotel with a spacious room on the top floor. As a forewarning, there are no lifts! There is a restaurant downstairs that we did not get to try, but always seemed busy. There is also a speakeasy-esque bar in the basement. All of the employees were extremely nice and willing to help in any way.
