"We had such a fantastic stay. The hotel is right opposite two bus stops which take you right to Newport, Ryde and Sandown and there is a Co-Op just down the road. The staff were so welcoming and exceptionally friendly. The room was restocked daily and cleaned beautifully. The food on the restaurant was outstanding. It can be a bit noisy until 11 due to it being a pub but it was not ongoing and we were not disturbed by it. We could not have asked for another place to stay."

"Staff at Ocean View are great. The hotel needs updating but is clean and room was good. However hotel swimming pool is closed and has been for some time. Also the hotel only does breakfast. We had booked to chill at the hotel use their restaurant and pool unfortunately this didn’t happen. Just needs to update advertising so on knows what to expect. View from room is fantastic which helped."

"We enjoyed an excellent stay here. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. We were lucky enough to stay in the spacious Victoria Suite, which had an amazing bathroom and enjoyed wonderful views of the sea. We also had our own private balcony. The property has clearly undergone a recent refurbishment, which was apparent from the spotless and tasteful decor."

"A very well run hotel with most aspect being excellent. Clean, comfortable room, decent crockery and consistent food quality. Very few negatives but the stairs carpet could have seen service in Pompeii, it was that old and seemingly dirty. A lift would be nice in a 5 story hotel but may be difficult given the age and design of the building. Overall, a lovely stay"

It was showing some signs of 'old age' with a bit of plaster coming off the ceiling and dated furniture but the hotel is undergoing a lot of refurbishment and modern furniture would probably not be in keeping in an older building.
