"A very lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant food was great. À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with. Times were also a little tight from breakfast, dinner, room cleaning and checkout but it was a small hotel so this is understandable. I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou."

"Great place, a very old property that needs serious money spent on it. The gardens are beautifully maintained. We had two breakfasts and an evening meal, the restaurant was like a geriatric ward, I'm 67 and I reckon I was the youngest there, luckily the staff are (I'm sure) trained in caring for the elderly It's not as grand as you might think"

Only a fan in the room, couldn’t sleep much as it was too hot during the night. The room was near the main hallway door, so other visitors were going g up and down making noise going through that door all night. "The Fig Tree Hotel was set near to popular coastal amenities and the old Shanklin village with its thanked cottage charm. A conveniently central position for beach and countryside, betwixt Carisbrooke Castle and Osbourne House. "A very well run hotel with most aspect being excellent. Clean, comfortable room, decent crockery and consistent food quality. Very few negatives but the stairs carpet could have seen service in Pompeii, it was that old and seemingly dirty. A lift would be nice in a 5 story hotel but may be difficult given the age and design of the building. Overall, a lovely stay"
