"A very lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant food was great. À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with. Times were also a little tight from breakfast, dinner, room cleaning and checkout but it was a small hotel so this is understandable. I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou."

"Great place, a very old property that needs serious money spent on it. The gardens are beautifully maintained. We had two breakfasts and an evening meal, the restaurant was like a geriatric ward, I'm 67 and I reckon I was the youngest there, luckily the staff are (I'm sure) trained in caring for the elderly It's not as grand as you might think"

"The hotel itself is looking a bit tired but our room was spotless and clean. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The buffet breakfast was hot and tasty. The location is amazing. Fantastic place to stay if u don't want to spend loads of time in the hotel."

"The setting is perfect, overlooking Freshwater Bay, and the hotel has been beautifully restored. Everywhere feels very spacious and comfortable. The staff are lovely and clearly wanted us to have a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. They dealt with my irritating dietary requirements with concern and professionalism and were all friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back."

"I realise that ‘bog standard’ will never be a descriptor for a caravan, but superior is way too kind. Thankfully only 2 of us were staying in a 6 berth, because bedroom 3 is ludicrous. It seemed clean until I found someone else’s razor in the shower. The caravan’s are piled in very close to each other, meaning not only can you not park next to it, you can’t park anywhere near it and ours had a complete staircase to navigate due to the terracing. The outdoor pool has a licensed capacity of 20...

"Staff were friendly and it’s in an excellent location. Opposite the station and HoverPort. Beach and town in easy walking distance. They were happy for us to leave our luggage before checkin and also to let us leave our bikes in a back room overnight. The hotel is large and old and therefore maybe a little tired. Our room was a superior double with Seaview. The room was clean and an adequate size with a great view of hovercraft and beach. However due to the heatwave it was incredibly hot....

"The room was a good size and everything was clean and cleaned every day. We found all the staff including the night porter very helpful. The hotel is in a good location for the beach and bus stops around the island."

"Nice location. Great breakfast. Comfy lounge bar area. Friendly enough staff. But thebroom....I know it was 27c, we was on the top floor and the room was like a sweat box even with the fan they provided. The window had a safety lock so only opened about 4 inches. It seem like a converted loft to make more space. May have been better on the lower floors? Sorry but didn't sleep well here. .aybe move the safety locks so more fresh air can come in or air condition the top floor is needed?"

"A modern and exceptionally clean hotel. The breakfast is excellent. With beach and old town mins away we were disappointed to find that we needed to use the car as hotel situated on the top of a hill. Buses and taxis were available and we would stay there again."

"A very well run hotel with most aspect being excellent. Clean, comfortable room, decent crockery and consistent food quality. Very few negatives but the stairs carpet could have seen service in Pompeii, it was that old and seemingly dirty. A lift would be nice in a 5 story hotel but may be difficult given the age and design of the building. Overall, a lovely stay"

"The cottage needed extra cleaning when we arrived, but staff were fantastic to try and help. Some of the furniture was tired for a cottage claiming to be a luxury accommodation. But the hot tub, pool, staff and colwell bay made the trip lovely."

"Clean room, good value, very friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was above the pub on a Friday and Saturday night so it was noisy until close but earplugs did the job."
