"The rooms are very small but that is to be expected and how you are saving money compared to staying at a traditional hotel. I was surprised by how quiet it was. The shared bathrooms were not an issue and they were well kept. I appreciated being able to use the refrigerator to store some groceries and save money on breakfast. "They have many buildings. The main building is good and has amenities. The o e from July 16-20 had no way to take luggage up as lift out of order, and the room cards didn’t work. Bathroom small, sink very very small"

"My stay at Grandi Hotel was excellent. A lot of people checking in and out, however the wait wasn’t too long and the staff were helpful and friendly. Stayed for 3 nights. Rooms were cleaned daily upon request and it was quiet on the 5th floor. Bar staff were also helpful and offered great service. Overall highly recommend if you want to stay in that area of Reykjavik."

"This hotel was excellent. It had a very nice, upscale, feel. The decor and furnishings were modern and beautiful. The building was peaceful and quiet despite being in the middle of a lively, convenient part of the city. The Bonus (Iceland’s affordable grocery store) right next door was a nice perk. Looking at prices for other hotels in Reykjavik, which is generally very expensive, I think the rates at the Hotel Von were an absolute steal for what they offer."
