"It is older hotel with lots of character! We only stayed one night but bed was comfy. It was clean and quiet. Coffee close by. We had a coffee maker but no coffee or cups. Bathtub had great water pressure but only half when you turned it up to shower. There was a nice gameroom, porch, pool. A cool Blackbeard statue! Room was big but no elevator for those that require one."

"You get what you pay for. It is an old property that needs renovation. The front office staff was very short and acted like it was an inconvenience checking in. The water pressure was nonexistent and the water temperature would be hot then cold and again hot. Will definitely pay more on our next trip to stay somewhere nicer."

"Beautiful small hotel. Room was very nice with balcony looking out to water. Lots of amenities provided. Continental breakfast was very good. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room had refrigerator and microwave and cooking utensils well maintained and very clean. Would recommend this place highly and stay here again if in the area."

"The villa we stayed in at the Castle was clean and comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The setup of the villa was a little odd, as you had to go through the main bathroom to get to the stairs to go up to the bedroom. That might not work for everyone, but it was fine for us. The Castle property itself was very pretty, with lush bushes, plants and flowers. We didn’t take advantage of it, but, the pool area was very nice as well.
